Hours: 35 hours per week

About the role:

PIB Risk Management is looking to recruit a 2nd Line Support Technician to join its Software Development team in Retford. You will be working in a technical but relaxed environment with a team of other software professionals.

You will be producing and executing test scripts in alignment with schedules and look for efficient ways of working both for internal procedures and end user experience. Being part of a team, you will deliver client and business requirements to a high standard of quality and in a timely way.

Working closely with the xCenta first line support team, you will be investigating support tickets at a technical level offering support, analysis and problem-solving skills to provide solutions for our clients.

About you:

The ideal candidate will be a keen problem solver responsible for the testing of new products, investigation of issues and evaluating the current test strategy. You will have the ability to work as a team and on your own initiative.

The ideal candidate will have previous IT Support desk experience within a software environment, although this isn’t essential. However, a passion for IT and providing support would be desirable.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You have a knack for technical problem solving and thinking on your feet.
You have been complimented on your patience when dealing with non-technical folk.
You are knowledgeable and confident in your ability to give advice on what is best for a client’s individual needs.
You can adapt instructions to different levels of understanding to ensure any client is comfortable with new software and changes to existing software.
You have a confident phone manner.
You can explain technical issues in an accessible way.
Ideally you would have at least 2 years of experience providing 1st and 2nd Line IT support for business.
