Our client is a Notified Certification Body and Technical Assessment Body accredited by the Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB) to undertake construction product certification and European Technical Assessments.

They now have an exciting new opportunity for the right individual. They are seeking to appoint a General Manager to lead a growing team in Dublin as they expand their services. The General Manager will need to be a strong, ambitious and energetic leader who can provide both commercial and technical management to the team.

The company provides manufacturers with complete Notified Body and European Technical Assessment services to enable them to mark their products in accordance with the following:

* Construction Products Regulation

* Marine Equipment Directive

* Fire product Certification

* Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive

The position is based in their office in Dublin and the successful candidate will report to the Board of Directors. Relocation support is available if required.

Key Skills:

* Sound knowledge of the built environment, such as engineering, construction products, manufacturing, certification, testing and technical assessments.

* An impartial expert who provides objective, ethical, substantiated counsel and guidance. Desirable: · Working within the fire testing or construction products industry and/or a laboratory environment

* Experience of accredited product testing and certification or product development · Experience of quality management systems

* In-depth understanding and knowledge of working with standards and compliance procedures and the ability to identify new commercial opportunities or set/adapt a commercial strategy.

* Demonstrable programme/project management experience

* Good commercial awareness and customer focus. Initiates new programmes and strategic changes to meet the current and future needs of our customers.

* A charismatic leader with the ability to drive direction set a long-term strategy for the company and enable the delivery of that strategy.

* Excellent interpersonal skills.

* An assertive leader who is not afraid of a challenge.

* Builds long-term partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and customers.

* Is able to represent the company in the Ireland market and in some instances internationally where required.
