Laboratory Analyst

Role profile:
Check and calibration of equipment to ensure compliance, maintain good levels of stock and consumables and flag any non-conformances
Receipt and storage of samples (waste water, clean water, soil for example)
Working within the boundaries of QMS procedures to ensure all QC and QA expectations are met
Document management, maintain quality forms, ensuring all records are accurate and available for audit
Result reporting according to relevant methods and procedures
Ensure work area is clean, tidy and that all chemicals are stored and disposed of safely and in line with current regulations
Person specification:
Educated to A-level or above (or equivalent) in a Scientific discipline
Background of working in a regulated laboratory
Experience using techniques such as: Ph, conductivity, turbidity, ICP, spectrometry such as GC, Ion Chromatography, flow cytometry, microscopy, bacterial culture and membrane filtration (a range of - not all of the above)
High attention to detail, strong organisation and time management with the ability to use influence to move processes along to expedite timely completion of projects
Numerate, articulate and flexible in your approach
