Why do we want you?
We want you because you are an experienced Accounts Assistant or similar with excellent knowledge of the new IR35 payroll requirements and you are looking for a Part Time Accounts Assistant job role where you can work autonomously managing a contractor workforce payroll process.

Main Purpose of Role
Day to day you will be our IR35 payroll expert ensuring that our fantastic Contractor workforce are paid accurately and on-time in line with IR35 and our payroll deadlines.
You will be responsible for making all statutory deductions from pay, and ensure that accurate and timely payments are made to all third parties whilst also providing monthly payslips and P60 submissions for our contractors.
There will no doubt be IR35 related and other queries, and so you'll be the key person to liaise with contractors and businesses to resolve any queries.
Other key elements will be:
- Ensure accurate and timely entries to the ledgers
- Reconcile all control accounts on a monthly basis
- Ensure that all physical and electronic data is held securely, in line with all relevant legislation as well as best practice
- Maintain up to date procedural documentation
- Liaise with auditors to demonstrate a strong control environment, and provide information as required, whilst maintaining appropriate levels of confidentiality
- Ad-hoc tasks as defined by the Financial Operations Manager

Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in an accounts assistant role or similar ideally with involvement in IR35 changes
- Excellent communications skills, written and oral
- Strong Excel experience, with aptitude for learning new systems
- Organised and able to manage priorities
- Discretion and confidentiality essential
- Attention to detail
- Experience of payroll and using finance software would be desirable
- Keen to develop own skills and undertake relevant training
