As part of your application you will be required to do the Halfords Quiz which allows them to assess if you are the right fit for a career at Halfords.

If after this you are successful you will be invited to a telephone interview in the first instance where they recommend that you do as much research as you can into the company from their website, the papers, they even keep their Facebook page up to date where you can follow Halfords.

As part of your research ensure you know the job description inside out. Have you been to a store and spoken to the staff that works there. How do they operate/behave whilst they are working, could you see yourself there?

If you have gained as much knowledge as you can before your telephone interview this will help the conversation to flow which is always a good thing. Normally the telephone interview will be approx. 15 minutes.

If you are successful following this you will be required to do an assessment which allows you to demonstrate that you have the skills for the job in question. This will be done in conjunction with an interview and you will be aware of the assessment questions at the time of booking your interview allowing plenty of time for you to do your research.
