The job of a Collection and Delivery Driver
As part of a team of professional drivers you are a critical to the smooth running of the Operation. The Collection and Delivery Drivers job is to collect customers vehicles and deliver them to the Bodyshop for repair. Once repaired your job is to then deliver them back to the customer. Customers trust us, so you will always be professional, providing a first class service every time. It is also important that you drive vehicles in a safe and lawful manner, taking into account weather and traffic conditions. Not only do you need to collect and deliver vehicles but you also need to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed, collect payments and receipts, report accidents/incidents and comply fully with health and safety legislation, e.g. driving whilst under the influence of sleep inducing medication, driving vehicles for which you are not insured or trained
You will report into the General Manager who has been at Nationwide for a number of years. He is as passionate about Customer Service as he is about his Team and is absolutely determined to make his Bodyshop the best in group. It’s an amazing team!
What you will be doing
Our Bodyshop is fast paced and exciting with lots of opportunity to make an incredible difference and apply your expertise and skill. In the job of a Collection and Delivery Driver you will be driving many different marques of vehicle. This means you need to be up-to-date with new technology and be able to drive to an extremely high standard. It is also important that you are able to provide a first class customer experience every time you collect or deliver.
Another very important aspect of the job is teamwork as you will be working with other colleagues in the bodyshop as well as across other functional areas.
What we think good looks like
As a Collection and Delivery Driver we would like you to have an interest and passion in what we do. With a professional appearance we would also appreciate it if you have previous experience in a customer facing role and experience in a driving role. You must have excellent knowledge of the roads in your area and be highly motivated. Naturally, due to the nature of the job you will need to have a full UK/EU Driving Licence. We will help and support you with the rest
