Residential Care Home Manager
We are looking for a Residential Care Home Manager to take responsibility for the smooth running and the general wellbeing of the Service Users and Staff.
Residential Care Home Manager role:
To take responsibility of all aspects of the running of the Home in accordance with the Home’s policies and procedures and the Care Standard Act, and ensuring that the good reputation of the Home is maintained at all times.
To ensure security and safety of the Service Users, Staff and building.
Maintaining such records, log books, assessments as required by both the Registration Authority and the Area Service Manager/Director.
Training, supervising and supporting Staff and Service Users in meeting their objectives.
Planning, organising and running of various skills, training and activities.
Residential Care Home Manager Responsibilites:
To organise Staff Meetings every 4-6 weeks and any other multi-disciplinary meetings.
To practice maximum integrity in all dealings with Service Users’ personal and financial affairs and not to abuse the privileged relationship with the Service Users, i.e.: gifts should not be accepted.
To accept accountability for any mishap/accident in the Home arising from lack of training, supervision or lack of communication.
To assist with hands-on care with all work practices of the Home thus providing training and role modelling to both Service Users and Staff.
To write policies, procedures, guidelines as required in consultation with other staff. The Area Service Manager must approve its final production.
As a Manager there will be no exclusion of any special duties or shifts on or off duty.
To exert total honesty and loyalty to the Area Service Manager advising her of any situation that could likely affect the safety, reputation, and harmony of the Home.
Driving for the Home is essential and you must have a clean and valid driving licence with a D1 category in a manual vehicle at all times.
