Job Description

Are you looking for a fresh start or a new career in care in 2019 and want to work for a highly regarded and truly caring company (as rated by its regulator, C.Q.C.) and who go the extra mile and more to support its amazing Home Care Assistants for the tremendous work they do, then please read on. We are now recruiting for the New Year to strengthen our team of full and part time Home Care Assistants in and around Cambridge and the surrounding villages.

You may be experienced or looking to start a new and rewarding job in care or may be fed up with the daily boring routine of working in an office or retail outlet or you are coming towards the end of a busy working life and want to give something back to people who are less fortunate than yourself.

This is an opportunity to take on a position that fits around you and gives you the right balance between work and personal commitments whilst bringing a smile to other people’s faces and forming new friendships with people who truly appreciate your hard work and commitment to improve their lives.

No experience is necessary as we will ensure that you are able to develop your skills, confidence and become the best in the industry.

All we ask is that our Home Care Assistants are caring, kind, empathetic, compassionate and allow our customers to enjoy their lives to the fullest extent possible, bringing a ray of sunshine to their lives whilst treating them with the respect and dignity they deserve.

We offer our Home Care Assistants:

  • Great Rates of Pay - £9.10/hour during the week and enhancements for weekends and bank holidays.
  • The offer of a permanent guaranteed hour’s contract giving you additional security and a guaranteed income from the start of your employment.
  • Discounted Mobile Phone Contracts.
  • Mileage Payments for Home Care Assistants using their own car.
  • Fully paid induction and on-going specialist training.
  • 28 days paid holiday per year.
  • A comprehensive Personal Development Programme with access to fully funded QCF (formerly NVQ) training and assessment enabling you to develop your career, skills and knowledge.
  • Working in a supportive, highly experienced and professional team who fully understands the role of a Home Care Assistant and is passionate about delivering outstanding high quality care to our customers, brightening their lives and the delivery of good old fashioned service.
  • On-going employee incentive and reward schemes, together with membership of the Company Pension Scheme.
  • Hours and positions are flexible to suit your availability.

A fully paid for enhanced DBS check will be carried out on successful applicants. Our Home Care Assistants should preferably be car drivers with access to a car for work or if based in Cambridge prepared to use an electric bicycle to get around which we will supply. Work will be locally based with adequate travel time between visits. We don't do any visits less than 30 minutes and our average visit length is one and a half hours meaning that you spend more time caring rather than travelling.

We pride ourselves on providing high quality, personalised care to our customers and our Home Care Assistants will help them with all aspects of their general health and personal care needs, providing companionship and support with daily living, undertaking domestic duties, meal preparation and providing assistance with mobility and medication management.

All interested candidates should please submit their CV to arrange an immediate interview
