Works Manager – King’s Lynn – Excellent package
Based in King’s Lynn, our client has asked us to identify and attract an experienced Works Manager to handle small works project and installation management. Established in 1967, our family run client is one of the county’s leading glazing companies and provides a wide range of high-quality manufactured glazing products for residential and commercial customers across East Anglia.
The Works Manager will have a pleasant, efficient and customer focussed attitude with excellent organisational and communication skills, working closely with clients, sales force and installing teams. You will be responsible for the management of weekly installation plan for small projects and monitor agreed delivery. Manage projects to minimise exposure of both financial and health and safety related risks. Programme the daily site operations, deliveries and employees. As Works Manager you will be responsible for the end-to-end process from the procurement of materials to ensure timely installation working alongside the existing team. It is anticipated that you will be fully up to speed after three months and take on responsibility for running installation plan, recruitment and training, carrying out risk assessments and updating Health & Safety policies with an outside advisor. You will, of course, receive excellent backup and support from the existing management team and staff.
As well has having relevant experience in a similar role you will need selling skills, numeracy, computer literacy, working knowledge of technical and plan drawings and the ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment. You will certainly be an excellent planner and have experience of motivating and managing a team. It is probable that you will have experience of carpentry, the construction industry or be from a window manufacturing background.
This key role within the company offers a starting salary of around £33,000 per annum with a review after three months. You will also receive a generous car allowance and the potential to increase holiday allowance and enjoy a profit share scheme.
