What do Microlise do?  We’re an established market leader and growing telematics and electronic proof of delivery company based in Nottingham, our mission is to empower our customers to reduce their costs and environmental impact by maximising the efficiency of their transportation operations. To provide continued support to our growing but establish customer base we are now recruiting for a Field Engineer to cover the Surrey/ Guildford region.

The primary function of this role is to ensure the Microlise product portfolio is fully integrated into the customer’s assets. This function requires the installation, service and support of all Microlise products and peripherals both in the UK and overseas.

Timely visits to customer sites to undertake the installation, service and support of Microlise products

Completing survey visits and identifying suitable solutions

Completing QA visits on Microlise products and peripherals in customer assets

Inventory management

Responsible for the upkeep and safety of your vehicle and all provided tools /equipment

Liaise with customers at all levels

Provide support to your peers and contractor resource where required

Ensure administration is concise, accurate and professional

Adhere to all internal process and procedures

Report on statistical information when required

Essential requirement

Experience in a similar/ relatable role (auto electrics and/or telematics)

Experience of working to Service Level Agreements and Operational Schedules

Understanding of vehicle wiring diagrams and ability to interpret these

Evidence of strong customer service skills with a professional approach

Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adjust style to relevant audiences

Willing to take on new challenges and improve own personal development

Take pride in what you do ensuring quality and accuracy

Logical approach to problem solving

Willingness to share knowledge

Excellent organisational skills

Ownership and escalation management

First class time keeping

Motivated to meet deadlines

Flexible approach to working patterns and hours

Full UK Driving Licence

Valid Passport for travel

Hours - 40 per week - 08.30 am to 06.30pm - To provide full and flexible cover for the business and to be flexible with working hours to suit the requirements of our customers.

5 days over 7 including weekends

Potential travel out of your region as well as overseas travel as required by the business

We’re expanding in France; it would be great if you are fluent in French or willing to learn if it is suitable for the role.
