Howett Thorpe is delighted to be working with an import and distribution company based in Bordon in the recruitment of their Management Accountant. The UK business has 3 entities and was recently acquired by a French group, which in time will lead to further opportunities within the organisation.
Management Accountant - About the Role
As the Management accountant you will report directly to the Finance Director and take responsibility for reporting across the 3 UK entities. This role doesn’t have direct line responsibilities; however, you will be working closely with 3 accounts assistants and your knowledge and experience will be there to assist and advise them in their roles. The business import and distribute products across the UK and some overseas and a background in import/export, warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, retail or B2C would be a distinct advantage.
The role is to replace the current incumbent who is moving overseas and there is some urgency in finding the right person, you will need to be on a short-notice period or immediately available.
As the Management Accountant:
Responsibilities of the position will include completion of month end management accounts from trial balance, preparation of finance reports to enable detailed variance analysis and improved MI; management of the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasting. A key part of this role will also be to extract data from the system and knowledge of MS Dynamics AX would be an advantage although knowledge of Power BI or Atlas would also be considered.
