We now have an opportunity available for a Laundry Technician to join us at our Yorkshire Service Centre.

The Company

We are a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of clinical beds, pressure mattresses, treatment furniture and other supportive medical products to the social care, NHS, Private Hospitals, Care & Nursing home and distributors across the UK.

The Package

The Role

Product cleaning and decontamination of all equipment returned/processed through the Service Centre, in line with the company infection control policy duties include:

* Cleaning of a wide range of products returned to the service centre, consisting of such items as hospital beds, dynamic/static mattresses, and spare parts and medical equipment.

* Ensuring the correct use of cleaning materials e.g. chemicals, cleaning procedures and cleaning equipment and spill kit, when performing duties to comply with the Infection Control Policy.

* Ensuring waste/clinical waste is disposed of correctly in-line with Infection Control Policy.

* Checking all equipment is clean and working correctly before use and any faults reported immediately to the Service Centre Manager. This includes the weekly temperature check on the washing machine.

* Ensuring the correct use/wearing of PPE, including waterproof footwear at all times when performing cleaning duties to comply with Infection Control Policy.

* Keeping decontamination and cleaning rooms, including cupboards, and equipment clean and tidy at all times. To maintain the integrity of clean and dirty areas.

Hours of work are Thursday to Sunday 08.30am to 17.00pm applicant must have a flexible outlook on hours to be worked.
