Part Time PE Technician and Teaching Assistant
The King’s School with 1100 students is an outstanding 11-18 comprehensive school with excellent facilities, supportive parents, ambitious students and an extremely strong reputation for success across the curriculum and especially Physical Education. A commitment to the philosophy of ‘Achievement for All’ and a desire to work in an exciting, dynamic, creative and supportive way are essential for all staff at The King’s School.
This post combines the PE Technician role with a Teaching Assistant post in Physical Education and within the wider curriculum. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to aspects of the PE department and would work under the direction of the Head of PE. It would be highly desirable for the successful candidate to hold relevant coaching qualifications but this is not essential. The role of technician has developed and the present post holder has taken a significant role in the work on ICT in Physical Education as well as supporting the extra-curricular programme. This has been alongside maintaining organisation and quality control of equipment used in PE.
Very importantly, we wish to appoint someone who works well in a team, is flexible, adaptable and can work under pressure without losing their all-important sense of humour. Due to the part time nature of this post and the administrative and student-facing demands of the role, the structure of the working week is negotiable depending on the needs of the candidate, however we would expect the post holder to work across 5 days.

The closing date is midday, 10th June with a view to interview the following week. We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of students so all staff are enhanced DBS checked.
