Job Title: Warehouse Operative- Afternoon Shift
Job type- 39.50 hours per week contract
Salary- £8.27 per hour+10 % Shift allowances
Shift timing: 13:30 - 22:00 Monday to Thursday and 12:30 to 20:30 on Friday.
Should be Flexible for any shifts
Maintain strong supplier relationship
Meet and/or exceed service expectations and initiatives of the business
Partner with sourcing to ensure inventory requirements are aligned
Work under the direction of the warehouse team leader, as part of the warehouse team.
Ensure customer orders are correctly and accurately picked, packed and despatched, i.e. item number, quantity, serial numbers, labelling etc.
Ensuring goods and packaging are of satisfactory quality before shipment
Liaise with Shipping, Operations and Order Administration departments to ensure effective administration of warehouse despatch and other related activities.
Suggest any areas of improvement and refer them to the Team Leader
Dealing with goods coming in and out
Ensuring all deliveries are packaged protectively and are matched with the correct delivery paperwork
Accurately signing for all incoming deliveries
Accurately check all incoming stock for shortages and damage and report accordingly
Booking in purchased item deliveries into the Oracle ERP system
Ensure all stock is stored in the correct place
Ensure all stock is handled in a way as to minimise the risk of damage while in stock or during delivery to our internal customers.
To ensure all returns entering the factory are checked taking care to make sure that the part returned reflects what is on the collection note.
Ensure company Ethics and Health & Safety regulations are strictly adhered to
Ensure all company policies are adhered to
Work with the team leader to ensure cost effective management of the warehouse
Ensure all transactions are properly screened and recorded in accordance with the company's Trade Compliance and quality procedures and to escalate any concerns or questions to the Logistics and Compliance Manager.
Ensure a safe and clean working environment, by maintaining the 5S standards in the area
Assist in annual and ad hoc stock takes and inventory checks
Other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities, whenever reasonably requested.
