Akton Recruitment currently has an Opportunity for an experienced Administration Assistant within the Local Authority in Surrey
We are looking for administrative and clerical help in our busy Service Desk team within the ICT Department of the Council. Specific IT system skills training will be given to use the relevant IT systems used on the Service desk. Please see person specification for more details.
Duties / Job description
1 Receive and log service desk calls from internal customers and accurately transcribe the details of the problem/issue on the service desk ticketing system (Freshdesk).
2 Allocate tickets to the appropriate member of staff.
3 Monitor and update tickets as and when required.
4 Undertake password resets.
5 Update the hardware inventory with accurate details.
6 Prepare and issue iPads and iPhones following detailed procedures.
7 Liaise with external suppliers with reference to purchase ordering and payments.
8 Updating data lists, spreadsheets, Word documents and Excel spreadsheets.
9 Personal contact with internal customers and Elected Members to log service desk tickets.
10 Administer training room bookings.
1 Customer Service skills must be excellent with the ability to
1 Use the phone to communicate effectively
2 Accurately log details of what is said on the service desk ticketing system
3 Articulate verbally ensuring the information is correct and accurate
4 Strong written skills
5 Understand and transcribe details
2 Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
3 Strong administration and clerical skills also essential.
4 Ability to follow set procedures accurately.
5 Ability to create and document procedures.
6 Computer literate, with some IT skills to offer, ability to pick up and learn new IT skills on the job.
7 Advanced Word, Excel, Outlook - Office 2016/Office 365 skills are required.
8 Knowledge of iPad/iPhone usage would be helpful.
