Computing Teacher Specification
Computing Teacher: We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Computing Teacher. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and Computing and have the ability to pass this on to their students. This is a full time Computing school teaching position starting in September 2019.
This is a small college of around 700 pupils in Hampshire, where everyone is familiar and friendly. Pupils are developed both academically and socially, to become valued citizens. As well as the National Curriculum, additional subjects are available such as car mechanics, child development, travel and tourism, and photography. The college is particularly strong on the creative arts, with a thriving choir, keyboard ensemble and regular concerts in the community. Drama is well supported, with a large-scale school production every year. Sport is another speciality, with a wide variety of sports offered, so that every pupil is motivated to be physically active. Academically, 98% of pupils achieve 5 or more GCSE passes, and many go on into further or higher education.
The school is looking for a Computing Teacher who is confident in their ability to engage with and inspire pupils to achieve their best. Candidates must be a fully qualified Computing School Teacher with excellent classroom practices and a love of teaching.
Applications from experienced Computing Teachers and newly qualified Computing Teachers are welcome.
