Location: Hackney, London E8

Salary - £19.201 per annum

Hours: 35 per week

The Company

My Clients are an independent brewery based in Hackney, London. They have been brewing with a commitment to quality and community since 2013.

They champion flavour, provenance, consistency and quality. The range of award winning beers they do are unfiltered and unpasteurised for a much better flavour and aroma. The founders say the beers are inspired by their passion for both the British real ale tradition and the best of international craft beer movement. The flagship beers they make are complemented by regular limited and small batch releases including their barrel aged project.

My clients sell over 2.5 million pints annually and export internationally, they employ over 35 staff across their brewery, warehouse and office teams. They are a London Living Wage employer, they are committed to their staff welfare, training and progression and they are a key player in the UK craft beer industry.

The Role

My clients are looking for a reliable, hard-working and dedicated Drayperson and Warehouse Assistant to join the logistics and warehousing department of one of the UK's fastest growing craft breweries.

The role will be varied and fast-paced, with plenty of scope for learning new skills and progression within the company

This is a full time position, initially on a 12 month fixed term contract, with a view to a longer term position.

Your Responsibilities

Drive a fleet of delivery vans and trucks, delivering beer in an efficient and responsible manner.

Provide excellent customer service to all accounts, being a responsible brand ambassador.

Adher to warehousing processes and company delivery processes, including picking stock systems and careful delivery note counter-signing.

Collection of and responsibility for any payments received in cash, where necessary.

Transfer of stock between my clients sites , sister venues and related events.

Adhering to company van maintenance and housekeeping routines, making sure that the fleet is presented to the highest standards.

Adherence to company fleet H&S requirements., including daily inspection of fleet, careful reporting of defects and excellent associated record-keeping.

Ensure vans are always clean and tidy inside and out.

Carry out warehousing duties under the direction of the Warehouse manager and Logistics manager.

Assist in packaging and repackaging tasks.

Maintain highest standards of warehouse order, safety and cleanliness.

Adhere to Company Goods Receipt processes, making sure goods are properly received, dispatched, stored and record-kept.

Key Skills and Requirements:

Full current UK driving licence is essential

No more than 6 points

Knowledge of traffic laws and highway code

Excellent numerical and customer relation skills

Right to live and work in the UK

Ability to confidently and effectively speak, read and write the English language is essential.

Hands-on, reliable and hardworking

Able to show initiative, be flexible and work independently

Ability to move comfortably and lift kegs and casks.

Enthusiastic and personable, ideally with some interest in craft beer.

Keen for the opportunity to work within an exciting and growing craft brewery.

It would be desirable for you to have LGV and HGV categories but this is not essential.

Salary and Benefits:

London Living Wage £19,201 per annum

35 hours per week
