About the role
Due to continued growth we are currently looking to recruit a Property Maintenance Trade Operative to join our team. This will involve working on void properties as well as reactive works for units that are occupied.
The role will require someone with general maintenance experience with an understanding of the basic principles of plumbing, painting and decorating are desirable. This role will require some one of an electrical bias holding relevant C&G as well as 18th Edition IEE Regulation qualifications; you must be able to work with limited supervision.
The role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8am-4.30pm. There is a late rota, which is approximately, one in every ten weeks which is 9.30am-6pm. There will be a requirement to be part of an emergency “out of hours” rota which again is approximately one in every ten weeks.
About you
* Experienced electrician, holding relevant C&G as well as 18th Edition IEE Regulation qualifications, you must be able to work with limited supervision
* Deliver high quality electrical works
* Have plenty of flexibility and excellent communication skills
* Aptitude for learning and problem solving skills
* High standard of workmanship with attention to detail
* An awareness of health and safety requirements and safe working practices
* Ability to self-motivate and motivate others within a team as well as been able to work with limited supervision
* Full UK Driving Licence – a van will be provided to conduct the role
* A BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check is required to work on this contract and will be essential for you to pass as part of the role.
* Own tools, and use these for the role but materials to complete jobs will be provided

Have worked in Logistics & planning previously, or a minimum of 2 years in a similar role

Be accurate in paperwork and follow procedures and process methodically in a proactive and busy office

Computer literate with strong knowledge of MS Office

*

An effective communicator

*

A positive attitude towards customer service and continuous improvement

*

Ability to question, challenge and improve upon existing processes

*

Strong Interpersonal and people management skills

*

Resilience with an ability to keep calm under pressure and continue to follow the correct processes even under challenging circumstances

*

Experience within a multi drop, general haulage or pallet network environment

*

Have the ability to keep up with a changing load plan and make quick decisions as and when changes are required - Essential

*

Excellent decision making skills, a high level of initiative and able to prioritise and problem solve

*

A good ability to learn new IT Platforms and operate across various software
