Where in the world of OVO will I be working?
You will be working within the Retail Finance Team. Our objectives are:
- Financial Control; to ensure OVO’s resources are directed, monitored and measured in an accurate and timely manner and to maintain a ‘No Surprises Environment’
- Financial Planning; to allocate future resources beneficially to OVO and to introduce a clear method to achieve these plans

This role will report into the Cashflow and Treasury Manager.
What will I be doing?
The role will support the Treasury team, who have responsibility for ensuring OVO effectively uses its cash resources and ensuring that OVO have clear visibility of and accurately forecast cash and funding requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the reconciliation of Retail’s bank accounts; on a daily and monthly basis
- Ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers, customers and employees
- Managing the Group’s banking and credit card relationships
- Dealing with banking-related queries (internal and external)
- Supporting cashflow forecasting (short and long term)
- Providing insight on cashflow variances
- Developing and implementing treasury procedures and controls
- Assisting the wider team with further bank-related month end and year end reporting
- Any other ad-hoc duties as requested
Is this the job for me?
The ideal candidate should have a background which reflects some or all of the following elements:
- Part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or studying/qualified with treasury qualification
- Experience of a similar role, ideally in the energy industry
- You are someone who strives for accuracy, is detail-oriented and takes full ownership of the work you are responsible for
- Excellent communication skills in order to interact between Group Finance and other key stakeholders and teams throughout the business and externally

As a result of significant growth across the Group, we require a regional director to lead our UK & European business. You will report directly to the CEO and take ownership of the Sales, Marketing and Operations for the region. You will have P&L responsibility for circa £20m of Sales revenue, margins and costs which includes approximately 40 staff (the majority being based in our Bristol location). This role will involve a combination of hands-on management in addition to providing strategic direction and oversight for the region.

We are working with a Chartered Financial Planner that provides advice to the mass affluent market; they help a variety of clients save and protect their wealth in preparation of life events.
Although as a business they’ve been around for almost 40 years, over the last nine years, the Advisor firm has seen significant growth due to acquisition; this has seen them adopt and maintain client relationships across the UK.

Their team in Bristol is looking for an experienced and highly competent Financial Advisor to assist with maintaining the ongoing service to existing clients. You would join a firm that has a ‘hot’ bed of clients but they require sophisticated investment and pension advice and therefore they do require an Advisor that can hit the ground running.

Job Description:

The Financial Advisor will provide full financial planning advice to a range of clients with regard to their investments, pensions and protection. The role will see you approach and work with clients who are already onboarded, to ensure that they are receiving ongoing, appropriate advice.
Whilst there is an office in Bristol, the role does allow for you to work remotely. You will be provided with the tools to enable you to speak to clients, arrange meetings with them and you will manage your own diary.

Key Skills / Experience Required:

My client is looking for an experienced Advisor with ideally a minimum of 5 years’ experience of giving financial advice.

The role holder will need to be Level 4 Diploma qualified though looking to work towards chartered, with CASS and SPS, a clean driving licence.
