We are looking for Warehouse / Loading Bay Operatives within the Carlisle area to work for one of our huge clients on an on going basis. To be successful for this position you will be required to be physically fit and be either experienced in manual labour - or eager to learn.

If you are successful you will be working within a warehouse environment on a loading bay with forklift assistance.

The role is very physical, lifting 10/15kg at a time repeatedly throughout the shift in a safe manner as Manual Handling Training is given.

You must be flexible for all shift patterns as you may be required to work last minuet or be asked to be on standby.

Shift patterns vary from 6-2, 2-10 & 10-6. Sometimes you may be asked to work 12 hours.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Compliance Manager to join one of the UK's leading haulier companies. We're looking for individuals with excellent customer service skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects alongside the day-to-day management of the business.

Managing up to 40 vehicles across several UK sites from the Carlisle head office, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and co-ordination of the fleet, the maintenance of vehicles, and liaising with multiple sub-contractors on an ongoing basis. You will be required to review and improve compliance and safety in operations across the business with a zero-tolerance approach and will be leading incident and accident investigations in-line with RIDDOR reporting. In addition, you will be responsible for handling driver disciplinaries and overseeing staff training and development.

Reporting directly to the Directors you will be responsible for contributing towards continued organic growth, assessing new development opportunities and submitting KPI reports on a regular basis. You should have the ability to advise on industry-wide developments such as legislative changes and implement measures to meet any required changes within the sector.

About You
You will need to have a strong background in logistics and HGV fleet management, and you will ideally have a good understanding of the haulage sector. You will need to be compliance and policy focused, with a passion for providing the highest level of customer service.

It is key that you hold a Transport Manager CPC and HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence. You will preferably have knowledge of FORS accreditation and will need to have a working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation.
