Senior/Managing Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and work with staff at all levels.
Detailed knowledge, understanding and previous experience of NEC and ICE contracts.
Previous experience in either the Highways, Earthworks of Civils sectors
An understanding of all relevant statutory, regulatory and company policies and guidelines.
The ability and desire to identify opportunities for improvement, and influence change.
To be able to react to constant changing workloads.
Be able to manage multiple projects at one time.
Previous experience of managing small teams.
Senior/Managing Quantity Surveyor Remuneration

Salary: £60 - £70,000

Job Description: Our client is a highly successful asbestos consultancy who provide a wide range of asbestos services to clients throughout the UK. They are currently seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor /Analyst to join their team and are looking for someone based in and around the Coventry area. The ideal applicant will hold the P402/3/4 certificates and will possess excellent industry knowledge gained through working within an asbestos surveying role. They will consider applications from Solihull, Rugby, Northampton, Wolverhampton, and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience:

Will possess the P402, P403 and P404 asbestos certificates or the equivalent RSPH qualification.
Have significant experience working within an asbestos surveying and air-testing/air-monitoring within the asbestos industry.
Experience with managing own work load and providing a consultancy service to clients would be advantageous
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Be fully conversant with the Health & Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out asbestos 4 stage clearances, smoke, background, leak reassurance, visual, re-occupation and personal air testing on various properties.
Carrying out Management, Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on various sites - commercial and industrial.
Overseeing asbestos contractors on site and ensuring that they comply with the Health and Safety procedures with regards to asbestos.
Collating and producing asbestos reports as and when required.

A hospital in Coventry, which is focussing on the treatment of COVID-19 patients, is recruiting for a Ward Host(ess) to assist with food preparation, cleaning and patient engagement on the Coronavirus wards.

The Role
Please note that in these roles you will be working in a very high-risk environment.
The role will involve working around confirmed COVID-19 patients, most of whom will be fully or partially ventilated.
You will receive an induction/training session which will cover health and safety, infection control and specific task training.
The role will include cleaning and interacting with patients, as well as the following:
*To assist in the preparation of patient food in a hygienic manner following all instructions given.
*To engage with the patients to feel welcome and relaxed with their time in our care.
*Communicate with the kitchen to ensure that all food orders are made and are what are required by the patient/visitor.
*Keep the pantry clean and tidy at all times to stay in the condition laid out in service level agreement and to meet all legal and company responsibilities.
*Assist the manager and supervisor to achieve service level agreements, health and safety requirements.
*Complete all audit and quality standards documentation as required.
*Ensure that patient's dietary requirements are provided for.
*Ad-hoc duties as and when required

The Candidate
As this is a ward based position, any previous hospital-based experience will be highly beneficial to your application. Due to the environment you will be working in, you will need to be able to handle difficult situations. A DBS is required for the role, so if you already have a DBS on the update service, this will be beneficial to your application.

The Shifts
This role will be working shifts and you will be working 07:00-15:00

The Contract
This is a full time role, on an ongoing contract, which will continue until the Coronavirus pandemic has slowed to a sufficient pace, or potentially ended.
