You will use your own deep technical knowledge to lead and plan development activity across multiple teams as well as working as a software development practitioner to resolve complex technical challenges. As an expert with extensive experience of software development in an agile, digital operating environment you will role model and demonstrate your knowledge of software development, including expertise in system design, strong programming, integration and support knowledge. You can show us your experience of leading and growing software development practice and capability with great results. Job Description: Arla Foods are looking for a Technical Manager to join the senior management team at our Dairy manufacturing site in Taw Valley. Situated in West Devon, Taw Valley produces award winning cheeses for our retail customers and the Technical manager will be responsible for all Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety matters.

Reporting into the Site Director, you will manage team, which includes a team leader, quality and EHS co-ordinators, and be responsible for developing the QEHS function, ensuring it is aligned to Arla's vision and strategy.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Ensuring the site complies with all standards and policies including legislation and customer requirements relating to QEHS
* Lead and develop the site HACCP team to ensure the system is reviewed. Relevant, implemented and complied with
* Act as site lead and representative with external bodies such as the Environment Agency and HSE
* Taking the lead in developing a behavioural safety mindset, with a focus on a reduction of lost time incidents
* Handling and resolving customer related QEHS issues
* Managing the QEHS budget
* Coaching and developing other team members
* Taking the lead in group QEHS activities such as audits and projects in order to maintain all site accreditation's and certifications.

Candidates should be educated to degree level in Food Science or equivalent, with a proven track record as a Technical Manager / QEHS Manager in a Food or Beverage environment. You will have excellent people management experience and the ability to lead, coach and develop your team to meet personal and business objectives. You must be confident to challenge at all levels across the management team and have relevant audit experience i.e. BRC, ISO14001 and retailer standards. Dairy experience would be an advantage but is not a necessity.

Excellent communication and influencing skills are essential, as is resilience and pro-activity in a fast-moving environment. You will have strong relationship building skills; internally with the teams on site, with the internal Arla Technical community and external bodies and customers.

The Role

The Software Developer will be joining a busy IT department responsible for ensuring system security, data integrity, smooth and efficient systems, supporting and training end users. Duties will include:

* Providing development, integration and programming expertise, driving the inhouse development objectives associated with the implementation of strategic projects.

* Ongoing development and expansion of the Sage ERP 1000 MS-SQL-based CRM solution which is used for all post-sale customer-related technical issues, field engineer activities, the tracking of distributed products, e-marketing, supplier contract management and the management of various online services through integrated web services.

* Development of the Java Forms Control Extensions (FCE’s) of the CRM to provide added value and functionality.

* Developing and supporting the ongoing roll-out of the in-house (Visual Studio, .Net / SQL / Windows CE) MS-SQL-based barcode scanning solution that automates stock receipts, location control and sales distribution from all the warehouses.

* Supporting the Company’s web strategy, focusing on systems integration on all levels, using the WordPress and Woo Commerce e-commerce platforms to integrate with existing ERP and CRM solutions. Using a combination of PHP, SQL and MySQL skills.

* Internal and external systems integration utilising generic and 3rd party API’s.

* Provide additional internal mobile productivity apps on iOS or Android platforms.

* Improve the automation of MS-Office processes by programming VB and macro add-ins.

* Supporting the streamlining of all transactional processing or data capture for reporting and business analysis. Providing new and maintaining existing MI reporting systems.

The Person

* This role is well suited to a proactive self-starter with excellent time management skills who strives to deliver high quality work.

* The successful candidate is likely to be educated to Degree level in Computer Science or a relevant numerical / scientific discipline and have a track record in a commercial environment with a solid understanding of ERP, CRM, web-based and desktop productivity systems.

* An effective communicator with the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels, support and train end users. Can perform and communicate equally well within a team or autonomously.

* Prior knowledge of Sage 1000 and Infor (SalesLogix) CRM is desirable.

* Experience of successfully developing and implementing B2C / B2B / WMS solutions is advantageous but not essential.

Our bread and butter is academic photography ranging from toddlers in nursery groups to university graduation ceremonies, as well as the Armed Forces and Corporate Photography. Professional training: we know that you want to keep learning and we accommodate this, we provide full training at the start of employment (which includes a fully paid week at our Head Office in St Ives). Training includes Health & Safety and Manual Handling. We will give you great, industry leading field‐based training for the role to ensure you succeed
Salary: our salary year runs from 1st February to 31st January. You will be paid a guaranteed salary on a monthly basis. In addition, commission is generated from the sale of photographs taken by you. If your commission exceeds your salary a balancing payment is due as a bonus. Any bonus is paid in March

Job Description: 1st Step Solutions are looking for Electrical installers / Electrical Improvers / Electrical Mates to work with a leading M&E building services contractor on an industrial project in Plymouth (PL6)

Start Date: 10/02/2020

Location: Plymouth (PL6)

Duration: July 2020

Project: Working on an industrial project in Plymouth (PL6) as an electrical installer / electrical improver / electrical mate. Work will consist of installing metal containment and armoured cables.

Site hours: 45 hours per week

Qualifications required: CSCS Card / ECS Card + IPAF Card
