What you’ll be doing:

You’ll cover a wide range of customer facing duties across the hostel, delivering an excellent service to all guests and visitors, giving them a great experience of YHA.  Your day may range from working on reception, providing information on the hostel and local area, to carrying out cleaning and housekeeping duties, to working in the kitchen and serving food and drinks. 

You’ll:

Deliver excellent customer service
Comply with food hygiene standards
Promote the sale of food and beverage
Undertake housekeeping tasks to a high standard of cleanliness
It’s important to note that the role can be physically demanding; you’ll be standing for extended periods of time, required to make bunk beds and clean guest accommodation to a high standard.

The Role:

This role is a key addition to the company's quality team to ensure continuous improvement in quality and manufacturing related processes. You will lead continuous improvement activities including identifying areas, creating action plans and ensuring implementation and checking.

You will lead the initiatives to resolve any internal or client related product or process issues including working with suppliers as required. You will also be required, from time to time, to support the quality inspection team on specific tasks.

You will have use of the latest quality analysis tools including CMM systems, digital optical measuring tools and SPC software (training can be provided as required in these areas).

The Candidate:

The position is suitable for someone with quality engineering training and experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably machining, molding or complex assembly. You will be familiar using most quality engineering tools and processes such as NCRs, root cause analysis, SPC and capability studies.

You will have a solid understanding of mechanical engineering, including the ability to read complex 2D technical drawings. You will have a keen eye for detail, be data driven and have tenacity to plan, execute and conduct thorough root cause analysis. There are opportunities to progress into more senior roles for suitable candidates if desired.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess weaknesses and opportunities in current quality and manufacturing process, then lead continuous improvement activities to address these
Raise Non-Conformance Reports for any client related product issues, and follow the process, including root cause analysis/8D/5Why through to full resolution, including liaison with the client
Work with the production and quality teams to address any internal quality issues, including raising internal NCRs as required and leading the process to a sustainable solution
Support trouble-shooting on manufacturing quality related issues
Support adherence to the Quality Management System, including recommending and leading improvements and updates
Generate First Article inspection reports and resolve any questions related to these.
Conduct occasional internal audits
Help with the development of new testing regimes and equipment for specific products
Documenting results in the MRP system including generating reports
Support with the inspecting of first-off, in process, returned parts or incoming goods as requiredSkills & Experience:

Our client, a highly successful media and & events company based in Dorking is looking for a bright and enthusiastic administrator to join the research team.

This is a newly created role, based within a vibrant and extremely busy team.

Duties include:-

* Supporting and assisting the team with day to day administration

* Research tasks

* Telephone projects

* Data quality and selection

* Providing support and assistance as required

Person Specification:

* An analytical approach to assist in understanding and researching our target audiences in niche markets.

* An understanding of all processes necessary in cleaning and enhancing data.

* Excellent attention to detail, working with complete accuracy.

* The ability to work well within a team, completing specific tasks to agreed deadlines.

* A calm, confident phone manner.

* A competency with Microsoft Office products.

We have an opportunity for a self-motivated, proactive individual to join our client in Dorking in their researching and building databases for our global portfolio of B2B exhibitions, conferences and publications.

Based in the Dorking offices, but working with an international remit, you’ll be confident in analysing and researching vertical, highly advanced industry segments, yet equally happy to pick up the phone to verify the accuracy of our data.

You'll work within a dedicated data team, liaising with other departments across the company, plus you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all our reader and visitor databases contain quality, fresh data.

You’ll need to ensure you complete specific projects to deadline and you’ll need to be able to manage your own time. Your time will be split between planning and research, and on phone-based work, so the ability to switch between the two is essential. You will also have responsibility for managing temporary staff assigned to specific projects.

Person Specification:

* Experience of managing all processes necessary in cleaning and enhancing data.

* Ability to manage a project - work and people - successfully through to conclusion

* Experience of circulation/database building preferred

* An understanding of data protection requirements in the UK, the EU and beyond
