The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plant Sales Manager to support our clients engineering workshop near Exeter.

The Duties:
The role of the Plant Sales Manager will include;

*To promote all hire, sales and service to existing and potential customers.
*Assist the Branch Manager in business Operations.
*To ensure the achievement of planned revenues and profits through the effective control of account management including debts, invoice queries, pricing.
*Identify, develop and increase the customer base with new and dormant accounts to ensure the branch has exposure to all available market sectors, increasing the number of monthly trading accounts.
*Develop and maintain a direct and close relationships with your customers in all areas including buyers, bought ledger and contact at a senior level.
*Follow up in a timely manner all warm sale leads passed on from colleagues and those generated by the sales system.
*Complete and record all sales on the company CRM system.
*Assist Credit Control with ensuring that all associated debts are properly managed in line with Company policy and procedure.

The Candidate:
The successful Plant Sales Manager must be able to meet the following criteria;

*Recent & demonstrable experience in either Plant / Powered Access / Hire (car rental etc) Industry.
*Proven sales history both via the phone as well as client / prospect visits
*Proficient in IT including MS Office, sales CRM and internal systems.
*Well organised and able to prioritise workload and time management
*Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiations skills.
*Results driven with both the passion and ability to exceed targets

Main Purpose of the Job
The Catchment Management team in our Exeter office is currently recruiting for an Associate to lead and expand the team. The successful candidate will be the technical lead on a range of diverse drainage modelling, flood risk, flood alleviation, drainage strategy and drainage infrastructure projects, working with Local Authorities, Water Companies and Infrastructure Clients.
Work will involve surface water drainage, SuDS, wastewater networks, urban watercourses and rivers. Many of the projects will involve integrated urban drainage modelling and working in partnership with a number of risk management authorities and utilities. You will provide technical leadership of flood strategy / management projects, be responsible for the oversight of environmental inputs, hydraulic modelling and hydrological studies.
Ideally based in our Exeter office (although other UK locations will be considered), you will possess a minimum of 10-15 years+ post qualification experience.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Project Management of assigned projects as required with good commercial awareness and financial control
* Framework / project management of strategic flooding and drainage related projects for local authorities, the EA and Water Companies
* Developing a specialist catchment / flood risk management team across the UK utilising and developing staff across both the Environment and Water sector
* Monitoring, planning and forecasting utilisation of own discipline team members and project resources
* Undertake marketing and business development role promoting the capabilities of the company to current and prospective clients liaison successfully leading to enhanced reputation and repeat work
* Ensure the technical quality of own and team’s work in accordance with good engineering practice, relevant standards, Codes of Practice, current design methods and Health & Safety legislation
* Have a good understanding of all relevant standards, Codes of Practice, Health & Safety Legislation and current design methods and provide general technical support to own discipline team members

Essential
* Degree Level Civil Engineer or Other Suitable Science Based Subject
* Minimum of 15 years’ experience of drainage / flooding based projects

* Experience of modelling of surface water drainage, watercourses and waste water networks, preferably using Infoworks ICM (Incl. 2D), Flood Modeller (ISIS), TUFLOW (1D-ESTRY & 2D) or MicroDrainage.
* Previous experience working within a consulting engineering organisation
* Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong analytical, critical thinking and organisational skills
Preferred
* Masters or Higher Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography or similar degree
* Chartered CEng MICE or CWEM CIWEM
* A self-starter with the drive and skills to build relationships, identify opportunities and work collaboratively with other disciplines.
* Good commercial skills within the Water Engineering sector with a good understanding of other engineering and environmental disciplines.

Main Purpose of the Job

Reporting to the Principal Mechanical Engineer you will join an established team of Mechanical, Electrical and Process Engineers. As the Mechanical Engineer you will be expected to support multidisciplinary design schemes, assist with delivery of projects within the Water and Waste sectors as well as assist the project teams to complete scopes of work within the agreed time frame and to appropriate quality levels.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Act in the capacity of Mechanical Engineer on both single and multi-disciplinary projects.

* Undertake site surveys of existing mechanical infrastructure.

* Produce mechanical calculations, mechanical schedules and specifications.

* Undertake pumped system design calculations and pump selection.

* Produce hydraulic and pipework designs and P&I Diagrams

* Assist with effective management of project stakeholders (clients, contractors and other design disciplines etc).

* Implement the project requirements to fully meet the client specification in accordance with relevant standards

* Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the other Pell Frischmann discipline leads on projects.

Essential Experience

* A minimum of 3 -5 years’ experience in relevant discipline.

* Experience of outline and detailed mechanical design aspects of Water and Waste Sector.

* A good understanding of all relevant standards and Codes of Practice and Health and Safety Legislation relevant to the Water and Waste sector.

* Experience in using current design methods.

* Be a proactive team player with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

* Experience of design using digital engineering/BIM systems (previous experience of working on projects with a central 3D model and ideally a BIM Level 2 project).

Preferred Experience

* Experience of ATEX/DSEAR.

* Working as part of a co-located team within a Client office (as required).

Essential Qualifications

* BSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience (HNC/HND).

* Qualified Mechanical Engineer: IEng (or working towards membership).

Preferred Qualifications

* CAD/BIM applications and understanding of current BIM software formats

* Working towards Chartered Mechanical Engineer membership.
