Principle Systems Engineer

Your main responsibilities as a Principal Systems Engineer will involve:

Understanding and interpreting the User Needs and Concept of Operations for the combat system or products and be able to derive the technical and functional requirements. Work at the relevant point of the engineering lifecycle to ensure that these systems are designed, built, integrated and accepted into service, with the correct level of authority.

Developing the functional design of that system; its architecture, components and interfaces, and be able to understand the potential impact on the boat and key sub-systems.

Delivering your outputs to agreed time, cost and quality in order to support project and business milestones, and ensuring that your work meets its contractual, safety and environmental obligations.

Providing technical guidance and to other engineers and support project and engineer management teams in planning and controlling your specialist activities.

Essential:

*Degree level qualification (or equivalent experience) in relevant STEM subject (Engineering/ Physics/ Maths/ Science).
*Knowledge of the system engineering lifecycle and be able to apply good systems engineering practices to your work
*Understanding of relevant engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulations

Desirable:

*Use of system analysis and design tools such as Enterprise Architect.
*Experience of working in a customer-facing and/or supplier engagement role.
*Member of appropriate professional institution; Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership.

Communications Officer

Reporting to the Head of Communications, the successful candidate will be responsible for pro-active media engagement.

Design Quality Engineer

A vacancy has arisen for a Design Quality Engineer on the Filton site.

The successful applicant will be working within the Quality Engineering Airframe Wing organisation, primarily in the Transverse perimeter for Quality Performance activities covering all programmes, and will report to the Head of Quality Engineering Airframe Wing Transverse. You will be interfacing with Engineering teams and suppliers around different locations in Europe, America and Asia.

Tasks

The Quality Engineering Wing team is accountable for the deployment of the Quality Strategy within the Engineering Wing organisations. This strategy is deployed via the implementation of 'Quality Improvement Plans' in order to support the achievement of the Engineering Wing quality targets.

In accordance with the Quality Improvement Plans the successful applicant will be responsible for Quality Performance activities:

· Support the definition of a set of measurable criteria for the quality of the relevant engineering deliverables

· Identify risks and issues related with the quality of the engineering deliverables

· Facilitate and support root cause analysis & practical problem solving activities

· Establish and drive corrective and preventive action plans in order to support the improvement of engineering performance and its associated costs.

· Facilitate and support the identification of product modes of failure.

· Drive standardised mitigation plans in order to prevent/mitigate risk linked to the product and its related processes

· Support the deployment of Quality standards and apply them within the Engineering organisation

· Drive and manage improvement projects in order to support the achievement of the Engineering Wing quality targets

· Capture lessons learned in order to improve organisation efficiency and product maturity

Skills

As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate the following skills:

· Relevant Quality and/or Engineering Experience

· Project Management knowledge.

· Have exceptional communication and English skills, both verbal and written.

· Have excellent IT skills as appropriate to the role (Microsoft Office/G Suite)

· Be able to demonstrate appropriate people skills and associated behaviours when interacting with all levels of the management structure.

· The ability to learn quickly, and a positive and enthusiastic attitude towards the workload are essential requirements.

· Experience in a Design or Manufacturing Engineering Environment would be beneficial although not essential.

· Ability to communicate in German both verbally and in written form are highly beneficial although not essential

· Programming experience (Javascript, Google apps script, Python…) are highly beneficial although not essential

The hourly rate for the role is £17.65 PAYE and the initial length of contract is until the 1st week of August 2020, pending an extension. You would be expected to work a 35 hour week.

Job Description: We are looking for 2 x Kitchen Assistants to join our catering team at Nutfield House Extra Care Scheme in Filton on a part time basis.

We have an 18 hour and 20 hour per week positions. Shifts are likely to consist of 5, 10 - 2 shifts over a 7 day week. (This is likely to be 2 weekends of 4 each month).

What’s the role of the Kitchen Assistant?

Supporting the cook to prepare, cook and serve 50+ meals per day to elderly customers living at Nutfield House, and others who may visit the scheme
Organisation of the food service areas, serving and clearing lunch, cleaning and tidying
Assisting in monitoring the condition and safe use of catering equipment.We are looking for someone who:

Understands health and safety in the workplace
Is flexible and able to work well in a team
Shows empathy, is dedicated and reliable
Has experience of working in a catering environment
Is comfortable working under pressure
Ideally, has experience of working with an elderly client group, and a friendly and helpful disposition
Able to work some weekends and occasional bank holidays

Purpose of the position

* To provide effective administrative support to an individual or group of Nursery Managers and nurseries. Ensuring the highest level of customer service internally and externally by carrying out day-to-day administrative tasks to deliver a seamless service.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

* Lead development and implementation of parent outreach initiatives to increase utilisation, registrations, and memberships in the nursery to meet occupancy budgets.

* Proactively support managers when offering new nursery places, selling extra sessions and managing changes in booking patterns.

* Support parents with financial queries or concerns, offering solutions where possible.

* Lead and manage back up care bookings and enquiries.

* Adhere to organisational policies and procedures inclusive of the COR process.

* Ensure Redfish is up to date. Check accounts are allocated charged correctly; leave dates are input within the required notice period, correct discounts and correspond with parent payments

* Make effective and efficient use of systems and contribute suggestions and ideas on how to improve system performance.

* Co-ordinate the monthly invoice run and encourage the use of the parent portal to view statements and invoices.

* Responsible for the collection of monthly invoice debt, inclusive of suspension of nursery places, payment plans and legal referrals, in collaboration with the nursery manager.

* Control and administrator tasks relating to funding and headcount, working in partnership with our

* funding team.

* Support manager with any additional client administrative tasks, including writing monthly and quarterly client reports.

* Attend and contribute to Quarterly Service Delivery assistant meetings.

* Attend and contribute to local authority NEG training sessions.
