The project involves the extension of existing airport pier facilities, passenger gate lounges/services, creation of additional aircraft stands, taxiway/pavement interfaces and supporting utility provisions, and candidate should have experience of similar scope.

Leads field engineers in a broad range of construction engineering work within the Mechanical and Public Health disciplines of the project; including knowledge of building management (BMS), and fire systems.
Provides engineering assistance to superintendents, directs assigned personnel in meeting cost and time schedules, verifies materials, equipment, and quality and assures results meet design requirements.

Essential Job Duties:

Monitoring Contractor compliance with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements, through inspection and surveillance.
Lead the review of Contractor delivery plans and procedures.
Lead the resolution engineering, construction, operational interfaces with project superintendents and other project stakeholders.
Lead constructability reviews and lessons learned.
Lead the input to project airport communications.
Interpret design engineering drawings and specifications.
Lead the scheduling and review of Contractor detailed design, fabrication and manufacturing design submissions.
Assist the Project Superintendents and Planners in scheduling and forecasting activities.
Review Contractor monthly programme submissions.
Lead the review Contractor 4 weekly rolling schedule.
Review Field Engineer Daily Construction Reports (DCR).
Accept Contractor Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS).
Review and accept Contractor inspection and test plans (ITP); conduct quality surveillance, attend hold and witness (inspection and testing) activities and report construction quality issues to the Project Field Engineer.
Review and expedite final disposition of Requests for Information (RFI), Field Change Documents (FCD) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
Lead and coordinate review of key materials and ensure receipt, storage, withdrawal, installation of materials conforms to project requirements.
Accept Contractor permits to work.
Reports installed commodities on the project quantity tracking systems.
Manages the defect lists for assigned contracts.
Ensures as built records are progressively maintained.
Accepts Contractor certification packages.
Reviews and accept Contractor commissioning deliverables.
Leads and coordinates the completion and turnover of systems to key stakeholders.
Assist the Project Manager in assessing payment applications.
Identify and report project risk, and issues, and support the Project Manager in communicating to the Contractor
Conduct employee reviews of assigned subordinate personnel.
Provide input to project reports and key performance indicators.

Job Knowledge:

Experience managing detailed design, installation, commissioning and handover phases of a project.
Working knowledge of BSRIA Design Framework for Building Services 5th Edition (BG6/2018)
Knowledge of BMS, and Fire systems.
Technical knowledge of a specialized engineering discipline, contracts administration (NEC Form) cost, scheduling and/or contracts administration relating to the construction of airport projects.
Experience managing and controlling hazardous energy sources (Lock out, Tag Out )
Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
Prior experience supervising and administering Contractors.
Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H)

This Knowledge Is Normally Gained Through:

A recognized degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, OR
Specialized courses in construction management, AND/OR
Work experience as a field engineer, engineer or assistant superintendent leading to an understanding of the technical knowledge described above.

Job Role

Helping passenger's who need special assistance. Manual handling to lift passengers in and out of wheelchairs and manoeuvre them into the seats of the aircraft, which also involves lifting and touching the passenger. You must have excellent customer service as well as very good communication skills in order to do this role. You will also ensure the passenger gets to the correct flight in a timely and safe manner. You are responsible for checking boarding cards and assisting the passenger's through security. There is lots of kneeling, walking and pushing of the wheelchairs so you must be physically able to do this.

You must be physically fit, able to lift heavy items, stand on your feet for up to 12 hours per day. Are you able to work all shift across 24 hours 7 days a week.

This job is for a 360 Excavator Driver 8-ton CPCS to work in Gatwick Airport in the air side areas on a new build construction sites for Hays on a contract basis

Your new company You will be working for a contractor that has been awarded an 4-week contract to construct a large complex building project for Gatwick Airport Limited

Your new role This 4-week assignment starts on Monday 10th February 2020 and you will be operating an 8-ton Excavator to load and unload lorries, excavator pit & ducts, foundations for piling, perform remedial works to foundations on the PQ You will be working in a live airport environment with multiple plant movements with the associated risks. When there is no plant driving you will be required to assist ground workers.

What you'll need to succeed You will have a CPCS card for a 360 Excavator (under 10 ton) and hold the relevant NVQ in plant operations. You will also need photo ID, proof of NI, proof of address, a clean criminal record and pass a reference check from a previous civil engineering company. You will be working within a very compact area and as such must have the ability to follow excavation plans closely and ensure health and safety is adhered to always.

What you'll get in return You attend a formal Gatwick Induction and be issued a Hays airport pass and paid £17 p/h (CIS umbrella method) working 47.5 hours per week Monday to Thursday 07:00-17:00. There is no provision for travel or accommodation to be paid to Hays workers. Free parking is provided on off site and transfer to site.

Senior Planner - Large Hotel Project

Ensures the configuration control protocols are implemented and working
Ensures data security measures are in place and operational
Ensures data can be fully utilized by data customers as required
Is responsible for approving all BIM-related project plans and procedures (including from our partners and sub-contractors), and/or ensuring that any other lower-tier processes implemented are consistent with the overall BIM Execution Plan.
Working with the Project Functions, develops training plans for BIM tools and processes
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the details of all applicable internal and external review data drops within the project team.
Responsible for undertaking detailed review of Lead Designer/Contractor models to identify issues that could affect Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Hand-Over, supported by Project Engineers.
Responsible for extracting model information for use by the Project team.
Supporting the delivery of Client Asset Management requirements.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

Significant experience working within the EPC functions with a strong understand on cross-functional EPC work processes and the applications used for project execution
Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Automation or Information Systems experience preferable
Strong understanding of (and preferably working experience of) implementing BIM in accordance with PAS1192 (Part 2, Part 3, Part 4 and Part 5)
Project experience within Airports sector is preferred, and/or demonstrable experience within similar large infrastructure multi-discipline Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, and Building Services design/construction environment.
Strong ability to explain new work processes and technologies to employees from all levels of the organization
Ability to take on additional responsibilities, maximize efficiency, manage priorities
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills with leadership capabilities
Keep up-to-date on best practice BIM implementation methodologies
Working knowledge and experience of BIM information management software, in particular BIM 360, Revit and Navisworks. Desirable: Working knowledge and experience of the following software: Civil 3D, Revizto and Synchro.
Experience in a multi discipline environment
For project assignments where a BIM Lead(s) are not assigned the BIM IM shall also be:
Specialized technical knowledge of engineering design modelling tools and processes
Specialized technical knowledge of design model validation tools and processes

Job Purpose

To work with the Sales Director to achieve sales and business targets as directed and pro-actively identify and develop new accounts within a specified Region, operating strictly within FCA Regulations.

Overview of Responsibilities
