An exciting opportunity not to be missed! Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) is looking for a Data Quality Analyst to join our team based in Cheltenham. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a highly competitive salary.

We are looking for an individual with the analytical skills and genuine interest in data to join us as our Data Quality Analyst to play a key role in data quality activities as a member of one of our established Scrum teams.
Essential skills & experience of our Data Quality Analyst:
- Have experience of writing clear and detailed business specifications
- Have a good understanding of database concepts and experience of querying and manipulating data
- Have experience of presenting analysis and findings to a technical and non-technical audience
- Be highly analytical and able to communicate confidently and clearly
- Be highly numerate and educated to higher education level, or have worked in a similar role
- Educated to higher education level, or have equivalent work experience
- Highly numerate and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication
- Have good time management and organisational skills
- proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly in Excel
- Experience in the interrogation of databases, ideally using Oracle SQL, would be advantageous
- Analyses business requirements and documents the impact of potential changes on data quality processes and systems
- Updates existing or writes new business process specifications to implement agreed changes for data collection systems
- Collaborates with scrum team colleagues to ensure effective implementation of changes
- Reviews data submitted through the data collection system, according to checking procedures, to identify to higher education providers where they may be able to make data quality improvements
