Homes for Haringey have a fantastic opportunity for a Team Leader to lead and manage a small team within our M&E department.

This is a crucial role within M&E to ensure that all of the mechanical contracts and projects are managed and are fully compliant. The key focus of the team is to manage a variety of diverse and complex technical contracts as well as contractors working on assignments.

You will be responsible for managing an M&E Officer and ensure that all set objectives are met. You will ensure that all activities are carried out to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism and to the needs of our tenants.

We are looking for an experienced M&E professional with extensive experience in the delivery, compliance and contract management of an M&E Service. You will be able to successfully manage and lead and able to work with other departments including Asset Management.

You must have extensive experience in contract management and delivering complex contract obligations to ensure a first rate and compliant service is provided. You will be technically astute in M&E services (specifically the mechanical side). Work contracts will include Legionella L8 Water Risk Assessments, Water Tanks, Boosted Cold Water Pumps, Communal Ventilation, Mechanical Vent Heat Recovery Systems, Dry Risers, Wet Risers, Sprinkler Systems and General Mechanical.

You will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience of working in a similar post and ideally for an ALMO or council. You will be capable of working across teams and with external suppliers to achieve the best outcome for our residents, Homes for Haringey and for the Council.

Class sizes at our SEND schools are between 6-10 pupils in each class and depending on the class needs, there will be one teacher and two classroom assistants in each class.

To be a successful SEND Teaching Assistant you must have the following:

A confident approach to working within a SEND School
Experience of supporting pupils who present Challenging Behaviour and Autism
Comfortable assisting with personal care
Have passion, willingness and dedication
Team Teach training would be desirable but not essential
A current enhanced DBS on the update service
Professional references to cover the last 12 months

Your new role
The post holder will be engaged in activities to ensure the London Borough of Haringey meets its requirements relating to young people's participation in education, employment and training and Raising the Participation Age as outlined in statutory guidance. This includes assisting with the tracking, monitor and support young people into positive destinations. The post holder will, contribute to, and support the implementation of Haringey's RPA strategy. They will develop good relations with: schools, colleges, employers, other providers of education and other key stakeholders to ensure effective support is in place for young people and challenge where that is not the case. In particular:

To track young people who are NEET or who are at risk of becoming NEET and other young people that the services are trying to trace.
To reduce the number of young people whose current activities and/or whereabouts are 'not known'.
To ensure the database of young people's details is kept up to date.
To make appropriate referrals/ requests for service for those young people who may require further support.This position requires:

What you'll need to succeed

Support the Progression Adviser in the delivery of Statutory responsibilities based around RPA, NEETs, Participation and the September Guarantee process.
Working to lists provided, make contact by telephone or face to face with young people with whom the Service is seeking to engage.
Check tracking lists to identify last contact with a front line worker and where appropriate make contact to encourage the young people to re-engage.
Liaise with other teams and agencies to source data and help track young people who are currently NEET and at risk of becoming Not Known, e.g. training providers, Electoral Services, Benefits, DWP/Job Centre Plus, learning providers, Mosaic and LRS.
Undertake door knocking exercises to contact young people who cannot be contacted by telephone or letter complying with health and safety regulations
Attend and contribute to meetings and events as required.
Work closely with colleagues within locality teams.
Liaise with learning providers as directed to help track young people who drop out of further education or training
Accurately record and update on the database any information about young people gained from learning providers, partner agencies, at youth centres or alternative locations within the community and ensure destinations are recorded in a timely manner.
Undertake super-user duties in respect of CCIS database as required.
Ensure that details of all young people tracked are recorded and referred for appropriate support. Log referrals and line-manager and Data lead if action is not recorded within a given timescale.
Through regular data entry ensure accurate reporting on interventions and destinations of all school leavers and post 16 using electronic systems including CCIS and make improvements to data collection and reporting so that analysis can be better used to inform practice.
Work with line manager to agree a training and development plan based on performance reviews and quality assessments which build on personal effectiveness.
Provide support for the Haringey Careers Face Book page and track young people through social media and other sources of social media
