Senior Social Employment Advisor - Full Time
Offploy is a growing business, seeking to employ a Senior Social Employment Advisor to join The Offploy Foundation team as part of an new contract. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing candidates for employment, be keen to help people with criminal convictions find employment, and be confident in conducting interviews with candidates.
We are on a mission to reduce reoffending and make society safer by placing people with criminal convictions into meaningful, mentored and sustainable employment. We actively encourage people with criminal convictions to apply for our positions, which will be discussed at the interview stage.
Main duties include-
To manage a caseload of candidates supporting them to become work ready
Provide on-going help and support for people with convictions in both the pre-employment process & once a candidate has entered the workplace
Monitoring personal development of candidates by developing individualised action plans, and ensuring they make progress in their employability skills
Liaising regularly with probation service to identify potential candidates - arranging regular enrolment sessions at Probation and Job Centres within key locations within the town / city you are placed in
Maintaining open lines of communication with The Probation Service and Offender Management Units (OMU) - ensuring proper case management practice
To work against targets set by the Project Lead, and be prepared to report progress against outcomes on a regular basis
Essential Attributes:
Administration: demonstrate competence in both English and Maths to a level 2 standard. This can be evidenced by completing a BKSB assessment or certificates showing higher than a grade C at G.C.S.E. level
ICT skills: A basic understanding of ICT, including how to create and send emails, use an online calendar and update our candidate database with basic information
Caseload Management: Experience managing a caseload of individuals, ensuring candidates receive support that leads to accelerated progress
Employability skills: Experience delivering 1:1 or group sessions aimed at improving Employability skills
Desirable Attributes:
Pace and enthusiasm: Ability to work at a fast pace, demonstrate a positive attitude, and be driven to exceed targets
Caseload experience: Experience of supporting people from socially excluded backgrounds to gain employment

Operations Manager - Energy from Waste Plant

Introduction…

We are currently recruiting an Operations Manager to a recently commissioned energy from waste power station in North Yorkshire. The plant uses state of the art technology and comprises of a pre-treatment plant, AD (anaerobic digestion) facility and as mass burn incineration plant and produces enough energy to power up to 40,000 homes.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the plant and processes on site ensuring the plant is compliant with environmental legislations and permits. This is a great opportunity for someone to join a new facility in the early stages of its life cycle.

What you'll be doing...

Reporting in to the Plant Manager, the Operations Manager will be responsible for:

Overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the plant
The day to day management of 20 + operations staff including shift teams and operations day staff
Ensuring the facility operates and complies within environmental regulations at all times
Liaising with the Maintenance Manager and other relevant personnel regarding projects maintenance, outages and programming of plant improvements
Overseeing 3rd party contractors
Preparing the annual budget for the operations department for review and work within this budget
Liaising with company directors and managers as well as external stakeholders
Working with the Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager in the recruitment of staff
Deputising for the Plant Manager when required

What you will need...

In order to be considered for this fantastic opportunity it's important you meet criteria including:

A relevant qualification at HNC level minimum in an engineering discipline. Qualifications below this level will be considered with extensive power / EfW experience
Extensive operations experience in the power generation sector operating at Shift Team Leader or Operations Manager level. Candidates with solid fuel experience will be favoured (EfW, biomass, coal) but other forms of power generation will be considered.
Experience of managing budgets and in the training and development of staff
Solid knowledge of environmental permits, H&S issues and safe working environments

As an in-home Blinds Fitter you will:

Visit customers in their homes at a pre-arranged appointment time

Measure and advise on a fantastic range of products and on-trend fabrics

Return to install the product at a time agreed with the customer

You should:

Be personable, approachable and confident when meeting new people

Have a vehicle and valid UK driving licence

Be competent in DIY

All our new Advisors receive comprehensive Foundation training at the Hillarys Academy, full Tool Kit, IT package, branded Hillarys Workwear and samples when they join. All Advisors make a small one-off initial investment to get their career with Hillarys underway.

Exciting opportunity for an Architectural Revit Technologist to join a dynamic and successful team based in Harrogate on a permanent basis!

About the company and role:

A long-standing client of mine has a new requirement for an Architectural Revit Technologist with a sufficient amount of in practice experience to join their team to work a variety of exciting projects inclusive of Retail, Residential, Healthcare and Logistics.

With this role you will need to be competent in Revit as this is the software heavily used within the practice. You will also boast excellent technical and construction detailing which will be apparent in your portfolio.

To work as an Architectural Revit Technologist, you must:

Have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience.
Have a degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in Architectural/Construction based subject.
Have good working knowledge of Revit. This is essential.
Understand the UK Building regulations.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Whilst working as an Architectural Revit Technologist you will:

Produce work drawings and technical designs to a high standard.
Complete all projects within the given time frame.
Liaise with your planning team in regard to the planning conditions.
Issue inspection reports after attending site meetings.

My client is looking to recruit an experienced Conveyancing Secretary to join this professional practice in central Harrogate.

Key duties

·Dealing with potential and existing clients by telephone and email in a professional manner.
·Accurately and professionally produce all documents, letters and correspondence.
·All administrative support to the fee earner on a daily basis
·Other duties within the business as required
