About this Job -

An exciting opportunity has arisen for support worker to provide care to an adult (male) with high clinical needs, personal care, assistance with medication, support with meals and food preparation, all aspects of moving and assisting within the home and accessing the community of Hartlepool and the surrounding area.

Dynamic, quick thinking and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations is essential as this client can become unwell quickly which will require fast, accurate action to be taken for him to remain safe.

You will contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of care for the client and maintain positive relationships with his family and significant others.

Your role will be to ensure that the adult has all needs met at home and his life is as independent as possible.

You will be required to follow the instructions of the care plan ensuring dignity, respect and safety is upheld. Full, supervised, bespoke training will be provided in the form of office theory learning and on the job practical teaching.

The post holder will need to be dynamic, innovative, forward thinking and confident to sensitively challenge conventional thinking.

You will also be required to:

Communicate effectively with the company, client and their families.
To record and report on all Health and care needs and concerns.
To ensure that additional needs receive appropriate care as directed from the specialists involved in their care.
To attend and participate in mandatory training as directed by company policy and the clinical manager.

What will this role of Engineering / Continuous Improvement Manager entail?
Reporting to the Managing Director, as the Engineering / Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be responsible for planning and controlling all engineering and maintenance activity, while implementing the departmental strategy to ensure continuity of production and to facilitate enhanced product effectiveness. You will be required to follow lean principles and tools to assess and initiate upgrade plans to enhance equipment performance. Your duties will include, although not be limited to;
* Assisting in the development of the site’s planned preventive maintenance (PPM) system in line with total productive maintenance (TPM) practices
* Controlling the use of external contractors through the Permit to Work System, ensuring site safety procedures are adhered to
* Ensuring a robust system is in place to prioritise and implement break down maintenance work on a daily basis
* Liaising with OEM’s to supply specialised spare parts and resolving issues with OEM’s and service providers where machinery or contracts have failed to perform correctly
* Implementing and reviewing departmental objectives to achieve KPI’s
* Controlling the departmental budget for engineering R&M on an annual basis, ensuring expenditure is within budgeted levels
* Leading project teams as required, utilising LSS, TPM, CPS & A3 improvement projects on specified productivity enhancement and waste reduction initiatives
* Leading the installation of a pre-selected data collection system from concept to a fully automated system
* Providing management information in a format, which allows ease of analysis and determination of root cause
What will I need in order to be considered for this Engineering / Continuous Improvement Manager vacancy?
* Graduate degree in Engineering / Manufacturing techniques or extensive proven experience of working in a manufacturing environment at this level
* IOSH Managing Safely
* Working knowledge of TPM and demonstrated effective use of the DMAIC process
* Green Belt / Black Belt in Lean six sigma methodology
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Organised with the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload

Job Description: Our client an established and rapidly expanding engineering company are looking to recruit an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to join their expanding team.

This role would involve working a day shift however could potentially involve shift work depending on needs of business and volume of work, this would then be a continental shift pattern with additional shift allowances on top of basic salary.

Overall Purpose:

To provide line management on shift to the Machine Shop to meet business targets and sales.
To support the operation of the machine to provide greater than 95% of plan, of pieces and assemblies, with less than 10% overtime, and less than 9% scrap. Complete inspections, audit, assessments, and interviews to support business 14001 / 18001 / 9001 approvals.Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Assisting Business Unit Manager in the day-to-day running of the Machine Shop.
Progressing orders from the planning stage through to final stage inspection / delivery to Fabrication & Customer.
Administration of daily production schedule operating programmes for all machining / inspection / production areas.
Control shift absenteeism / holidays / first levels of discipline
Maintain, and develop departmental health and safety. Also attend monthly departmental safety meeting.
Provide thorough accident / incident investigations.
Maintain fire / ladder / eyewash station inspections, and regular area safety audits, assessments & inspections.
Maintain operator training matrices / develop internal operator training requirements.
Liase with maintenance manager / charge hand / operators to provide available production equipment to support the plan, and benefit the OEE within the department.
Ensure plant and equipment is monitored / measured / analysed / rectified as needed to support / benefit as above.
Liaise with quality department / casting engineer to ensure production is carried out in accordance with SOP's / PM in place.
Organising weekly shift rotas.
Control NCR's.
Ordering consumables.
Ensuring good workplace organisation (5s) is maintained across the department.
Attend daily production meetings as required.
Understand and fully comply with all site rules and procedures.Skills and Attributes Required:

Full working knowledge of techniques such as: 5s workplace organisation, PLM.
ONC / HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science (Or willing to achieve qualification).
Full working knowledge of MS Office.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated.
Ability to work on own initiative, as part of a team, lead a team.The Package:
