We are looking to hire a Quality Auditor with prior experience in the Health Care Industry to join us on an initial 12-month contract. You will be responsible for supporting all GMP Quality Assurance activities on site.

Key Result Areas and Primary Activities

* Completes review of data, information, procedures, facilities, equipment and systems (inc computer systems) to ensure compliance to SOPs, GMPs and applicable regulations.

* Review and approve production and analytical documentation accompanying the release of drug substance, drug product and packaged finished goods to ensure conformance to appropriate SOPs, GMP and regulatory

* requirements, including supporting QP certification.

* Actively communicate and collaborate with functional areas to develop a strong working relationship and

* understanding of roles and responsibilities. Utilise this network to help resolve comments and issues that arise during audit and review.

* Support product recalls and stock recoveries as appropriate.

* Identify compliance gaps and make recommendations for continuous improvement

* Creates and maintains assigned SOPs.

* Perform and review complaints and deviation investigations, change controls and CAPA’s.

* May assist in the induction process for new starters.

* Follows standard procedures and consults with manager/supervisor on exceptions.

* Compiles data for reports and presentations - May interpret data and draw conclusions.

* Carries out all assignments to the standards of compliance, efficiency, innovation, accuracy and safety in

* accordance with Company and regulatory requirements.

* Keep abreast of cGMP requirements as described in applicable worldwide regulations.

* Additional activities may be assigned by the manager/supervisor

Skills Required

* Degree in an Engineering or Science discipline.

* Alternatively, You must possess significant industrial experience.

Astute Technical Recruitment are working with an international market leader within the Engineering industry who have recently moved into the Energy from Waste sector.

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join the Maintenance Team for their new Gasification Power Plant, located just North of the M25, North London.

This plant utilises Gasification Technology, combined with a Steam Turbine, to generate 10MWe which is enough to power around 7,000 homes. As an Energy from Waste plant using Refuse Derived Fuel, the plant will also be reducing approximately 90,000 Tonnes of waste from heading to a landfill on an annual basis.

Role & Responsibilities
Your duties as a Mechanical Technician will include reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for:

Fault finding and maintaining mechanical assets including pumps, gearboxes, valves, etc.
Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practices
To ensure compliance with the pressure regulations and lifting gear inspection requirements
Assisting in plant developments and projects
Supervising and setting to work on site contractors
Maintaining accurate maintenance records on the site CMMS
Assist in outage planning, scheduling and coordination
To ensure the availability of plant spares

What you will need
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

A relevant technical qualification such as a C&G / NVQ / ONC / HNC in mechanical engineering or a similar discipline
At least 5 years of hands on maintenance experience with mechanical systems including pumps rotating equipment, compressors, gearboxes, cranes etc
Practical knowledge of process plant and equipment gained in a heavy engineering environment such as power generation, petrochemical, steel works, CHP plant, paper mill etc. Royal Navy Marine Engineers will also be considered
Involvement in plant mobilisation and commissioning is desirable but not essential

Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Shift Team Leader, as Shift Operations Technician, you will be responsible for:

Reporting to the Shift Team Leader to monitor the plant through control of the: – boilers, turbines, pumps, compressors, water treatment plant etc.
Ensure safe and efficient operation through inspections and Control System monitoring
Carrying out first line maintenance to ensure plant reliability and availability
Scheduled and unplanned maintenance activities and assisting during Outages/Shutdowns
Monitoring fuel input to optimise the plant's output
Working within the Company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
Please note this is a shift role and will involve working 12 hour shifts including days and nights.

Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

A relevant technical qualification such as an BTEC, City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC etc. in an engineering discipline
Experience in an operational environment on a Heavy Process Plant. This could be Energy from Waste, Coal, CCGT, Biomass, CHP or Nuclear.
Previous experience with Steam Raising plant and DCS / SCADA Monitoring systems
Health & Safety certificate such as First Aid at Work or IOSH / NEBOSH
Royal Navy Marine Engineers with Watch Keeping experience will also be considered
Working knowledge of Safe Systems of Work and a strong Health & Safety approach
