The Supported Living Manager will be based in Islington, North London and will work across both supported living services and will deliver first class support to clients in an independent living environment.

* Provide assistance and advice to technicians/Inspectors regarding relevant standards and statutory regulations.

Experience/Qualification:

* Qualified as a Chartered Engineer or full member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers, with a minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification experience.

One of our local clients based in Islington are currently recruiting for the role of Principal Lift Engineer.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION

The Principal Lift Engineer primary function is to ensure all lifts serving Islington’s housing accommodation are adequately maintained by developing and following a rolling cyclical programme including the replacement of lift cars when life expired/beyond economic repair.

The Principal Lift Engineer will establish and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders and assist in the development of policies and strategies. He/she will ensure an integrated customer focused service to residents of Islington and other users of the service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work in conjunction with the Building Services Group Leader to develop and enhance the asset management data base relating to lifts within Islington and work up annual packages of work required.

Develop appropriate design briefs, feasibility studies, specifications and tender documentation. Advise Group Leader on appropriate forms of contract for delivery of work.

Work closely with Islington’s procurement team in order to procure and appoint contractors and consultants as necessary.

Take overall responsibility for all pre-contract design work an on going maintenance requirements. Liaising with other Council departments, end users and other stakeholders.

Ensure that adequate monitoring is provided to oversee and coordinate the work of consultants, where appropriate.

Prepare reports for senior management team, committees, area forums, working parties, client organisations, tenant associations, and external agencies.

Ensure excellent communication, consultation and liaison with all stake holders through preparing briefings, correspondence, attendance at meetings etc.

Ensure the highest standard of design, budget control and contract management is achieved on all projects carried out by the team, paying particular attention to Health and Safety, Accessibility, Energy Efficiency, Sustainability and Maintenance.

Allocate projects and contract responsibility in consultation with the Group Leader. Ensure that adequate staff resources are available to complete and manage projects within programme, cost and fee allocation.

Provide advice and guidance as appropriate to other team members concerning procurement, design criteria and preparation of schemes, specifications, maintenance requirements, estimates, selection of materials and equipment, project and contract management.

Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with relevant standards and statutory regulations. Assume role of Contract Administrator/Employers Agent.

Liaise and negotiate with Government departments, consultants, statutory undertakings and other relevant organisations.

Ensure adequate investigation, continued professional development and practical research is carried out concerning new techniques, systems and solutions in engineering services.

Assist and contribute to the implementation of a processes and procedures of the Building Services team. Ensure that the Lifts team as a whole is working efficiently and where required to take necessary corrective measures.

Provide advice on the appraisal, selection, appointment and performance of contractors and sub-contractors.

Lead on all aspects of large and complex projects and/or maintenance contracts including the co-ordination of work by other staff. Take responsibility for supervising and checking the work of other staff within the team who are working on these projects and/or maintenance contracts.

Project / Work Supervision Responsibilities:

* Prepare on-going programmes of resource and fee income.

* Undertake all day to day management of staff within the Lifts team.

* Ensure that the service is provided in a cost effective and competitive 8.8.16 manner.

* Assist, as directed, on the recruitment, training and development, welfare and safety of staff.

* Ensure adherence to Statutory Regulations, Contract Law and Islington Councils Standing Orders and initiate corrective action as necessary.

* Assist the Group Leader in monitoring and controlling the team’s budgets.

* When supervising others ensure that they carry out duties to meet Health and Safety requirements and regulations, including CDM regulations, both within the Council premises and on site. To monitor and advise on Health and Safety issues on all areas of related work

Education and Qualifications

Chartered Engineer or member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years post qualification experience designing and maintaining lifts.

OR

An NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in building services or suitably related subject with a minimum of 6 years post qualification experience designing and maintaining lifts.

The role of the Junior Account Executive:
As a Junior Account Executive, you will be responsible for our face to face marketing and sales campaigns. You will be acting as a liaison between clients and companies. Assisting with sales, experiential marketing campaigns, onboarding new customer accounts. Answering any customer questions and within in sales environment.

Primary Junior Account Executive responsibilities:
* Manage and obtain new customer accounts
* Greet clients warmly and ascertain which package options will work to their advantage
* Assist with placement of orders and upgrade accounts
* Advise on new services and product options
* Maintain clear communication channels to drive retention
* Presentations and promotions.
* Utilise computer/tablet technology to handle a high volume of inquiries.
* Record pertinent customer information such as addresses and phone numbers.
* Actively follow up on client account details
* Have a solution orientated approach
* Work with manager to ensure proper CRM protocol
* Compile reports on overall customer satisfaction and personal improvement.
