Clayton Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Tool Room Wood Machinist on behalf of a large building merchants company based outside of Preston. This position would ideally suit someone from a wood machining background with experience in tooling and grinding using industry machinery. The company is a large building merchants employing over 200 staff specialising in multiple supplies for trade.

The role:

- Producing cutting templates on template maker

- Grinding knives on profile grinding machinery such as a Weinig Rondamat

- Preparing and setting Moulder machinery such as Weinig XE22 & Weinig Powermat 500

- Requirement to have knowledge of powerlock tooling and jointing stones

- Working hours 7:30 - 5 Monday - Thursday and 7:30 - 4:30 on Fridays and Saturday mornings

The package and salary:

- Starting salary of £25,000 - £30,000, depending on experience

- 29 day paid holiday each year

- Additional holiday allowances

- Pension contribution plan of 5%

Previous experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant would be beneficial, however it is not essential; all we ask is that you have a willingness to learn and the compassion to care for the people we support.

The role is 4 and half days a week on a fixed shift.

A little bit about the role;

Every day in nursery is varied and provides the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills. The right candidates will be able to;

Support the provision of the nursery, ensuring you work as part of a team to provide high quality care in a safe and secure environment.
Be able to change roles at the drop of a hat from Fairy to Pirate.
Have the ability to read a book upside down and not be afraid to get dressed up and stuck into messy play.
Maintain and ensure the safety of the premises with particular reference to the safety of the children. Follow the settlings policies and procedures.
Have a clear understanding of the EYFS, statutory frameworks and guidance.
Form relationships with parents and children alike.

Hours: 10-20 Per Week

Mon-Fri: 7:30am-4:30pm or 4:00pm-10:00pm
Weekends: 7:30am-2:30pm or 2:00pm-10:00pm

With a community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, they support adults to the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. They offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

The residential home is set in a rural location just outside of Preston. Here they support 5 (6 - 17 Year old) boys and girls who have learning disabilities and predominantly an autism diagnosis. As a support worker you will propmt independance as much as possible in their home and in the community using a person centred approach.

We're looking for a Support Worker to provide care and support for adults with autism and associated learning disability. Both personal care and participation in activities are key parts of the Support Worker role, so energy, excellent communication and organisational skills are vital.

Previous experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant would be beneficial, however it is not essential; all we ask is that you have a willingness to learn and the compassion to care for the people we support.

As such, we invest heavily in training, provide first-class support, and give everyone on our team the opportunities and resources to achieve their full potential.

What we need from you:

- Previous experience within a healthcare setting desirable
- Minimum of a L2 in Health and Social
- Enhanced DBS (TRANSFERABLE)
- A strong sense of responsibility
- Reliable & trustworthy
- Willingness to learn
- Effective communication skills
- Flexibility and strong "can do" attitude
- Quality orientation
