The engineering department works on 4 on 4 off shift pattern with 12 hours worked on each shift. Weekend work is rostered and you will be expected to be part of this rosta pattern.

Overview of the Principal Mechanical (Stress) Engineer role

Responsible for conducting Stress Analysis, communicating the results and advising on all aspects of stress engineering activities. The role will involve working with multi-discipline project teams across an Electronic Warfare Business.

Be able to hold Stress approval signatory and be responsible and accountable for that given project.
Support the selection of manufacturing technologies and materials based on a sound understanding of the mechanical engineering of the product

Verify and approve design data and change notices for equipment.
Support the structural aspects of product development through design, test and certification.
Provide team leadership with effective communication.
Deliver analysis solution against requirements within budget and timescales.
Support visits and meetings at UK sites and suppliers when required.Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required

The candidate should have a degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering with post-graduate experience in stress and F&DT engineering.
Professional recognition as a Chartered Engineer or proven associated competencies is desirable.
It is advantageous for the candidate to have experience in the design, development and test of electronics packaging and/or aerospace equipment.
A proven knowledge of structural analysis and previous experience in developing equipment for extreme operating environments is essential.
The candidate will be competent in the use of Finite Element Analysis, preferably Siemens NX/Nastran, along with a proven knowledge of hand calculations.
Experience of environmental testing methods for design verification is desirable with knowledge of Mil-Std-810 and DO160.
Knowledge of Regulatory Standards such as Def Stan 00-970.
Verbal and written communication skills are essential in this role as there will be a high level of interface with both internal and external customers.
It is advantageous for the candidate to have experience in the analysis of composite materials.

We're currently looking to expand our team of Field Monitoring Officers in East Anglia specifically in the following postcode areas;

Shift work

We operate 24/7, 365 days a year, so as a Field Monitoring Officer you'll be expected to work a range of shifts during the hours of 5pm-3am. This will include weekends and bank holidays, on a rotating roster pattern. Shifts are usually 5pm-1am, 6pm-2am, and 7pm-3am.

What you'll do:

Our Field Monitoring Officer role involves going into the homes of those on curfew, whether that's alone or alongside a colleague.
Then it'll be your responsibility to install, calibrate and decommission monitoring equipment, so that the person on curfew can be detected within the boundaries of their property.
You'll check and clean equipment when it's issued and on collection, and quarantine any equipment which needs to be held for evidence.
Responding to priority visits, you'll be there to address any incidents and liaise with the central office over any issues or subject breaches.
As you need to travel regularly and continuously throughout your shift, we'll provide you with your own company vehicle.

You'll keep track of equipment and make sure you complete paperwork in a timely and accurate manner. Following standard operational procedures, you'll ensure contract compliance is maintained always. You'll also help with ad-hoc duties and take part in meetings with both your team and your line manager. Occasionally, you might also need to attend court, but this is rare.

We operate 24/7, 365 days a year, so as a Field Monitoring Officer you'll be expected to work a range of shifts during the hours of 5pm - 3am. This will include weekends and bank holidays, on a rotating roster pattern and you can expect to work shifts similar to 5pm - 1am, 6pm - 2am, and 7pm - 3am.

Your experience will include:

Physical fitness and mobility is vital, as you'll be attaching and removing the curfew equipment.
With experience working in a customer facing role, you'll know how to deal with challenging conversations.
Your strong interpersonal and communication skills means that your standard of both verbal and written English is high.
You're able to work flexibly on a shift rota basis and you work well as part of a team and on your own.
It's essential that you have a full UK Driving Licence and at least a year of driving experience, so you can travel to the subjects' homes.

Group Tax Accountant - Services Company - Luton - £55k-£60k + 10% bonus and great benefits package

Robert Walters are hiring for a Group Tax Accountant for a leading services business based in Luton at Capability Green. This is a permanent, full-time role - Though there is the ability to work from home 1 day per week as standard, and more on a ad-hoc basis when needed.

The position comes with a salary in the region of £55,000 to £60,000 plus 10% bonus and a great benefits package.

Working closely with the Head of Tax, the Group Tax Accountant will be tasked with a varied in-house tax role. Though focusing on corporate tax / direct tax work, this person will also get the chance to get involved in VAT and indirect tax work, as well as PAYE / employment tax work. The role contains a good mix of compliance/reporting and advisory/project work.

Responsibilities include:

This role is to join the head office finance team of an AIM listed group, reporting to the Group Head of Tax. The required individual should hold an accounting qualification ideally gained through training with one of the Top Ten accountancy firms and/or an in-house multinational function.

The role requires solid UK corporate tax knowledge, extensive experience of preparing corporation tax computations and UK GAAP/IFRS accounting experience. A willingness to get involved in other taxes such as employment taxes and VAT is also key and an appreciation of international tax principles is welcome.

This is an ideal role for someone looking for their first in-house move, or for someone already in-house looking to move to a role within the area.

Responsibilities will include -

Preparation of UK corporation tax computations (for approximately 40 companies).
Preparation of year-end group tax numbers under IFRS for the consolidated accounts, including liaising with external auditors and overseas tax advisors.
Preparation of tax numbers for UK GAAP accounts of the UK subsidiaries.
Managing the group's quarterly tax instalments payments.
Assisting with the group's SAO compliance work, including documentation and testing of processes and controls.
Providing tax support to the UK businesses, the Group Legal Team and the Company Secretary, including corporate tax, VAT and employment taxes.
Supporting with preparation with UK and Irish VAT returns and UK PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) if required.
Monitoring the group's position within the corporate interest restriction rules.
Assisting with Country by Country Reporting requirements.
Assisting the Group Head of Tax with planning projects, such as BEPS, acquisitions, HMRC enquiries and international tax issues.

The client is looking for a qualified or soon-to-qualify accountant or tax advisor (ACA / ACCA / ICAS / CTA). The successful candidate will have good UK corporate tax experience - Experience in indirect tax or employment tax would be great, but is not required.

Maintain, develop and optimise key processes to reduce costs, improve quality, reduce machine resetting time, whilst ensuring all aspects of operations are both safe and efficient.
Support and prepare capital investment requests by producing technical specifications and assisting with the approval process.
Support Production process's with in house repairs of Electronic components
Design, evaluate, lead and implement and commission projects within time and cost constraints.
Actively participate in Manufacturing Excellence, Six Sigma, 5s and lean manufacturing activities.
Maintain own knowledge of internal and external developments and translate new ideas into production techniques and procedures.
Liaise with external contractors to assist in the development and repair of all machinery/plant.
Communicate presentations and technical reports, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements:

Bsc Electronic Engineering Degree, or Electronic / Electrical apprenticeship with HNC in Electronics'.
Experience of the following control systems would be advantageous; Siemens, Mitsubishi & Proface.
Fundamental electronic design with knowledge of all board components recognition and testing.
Full competence on electronic testing instruments.
Good soldering skills. Interfacing and testing on higher voltages desirable.

Telesales Account Manager - Luton - to £35k pa / c£50k ote

Our International data providing company based in Luton is looking for an experienced Telesales Account Manager to join their expanding team.

You will be responsible for:

* Managing a portfolio of business, including new and renewal, for EMEA territory.

* Prospecting and finding new leads, and progress them through the sales process.

* Renew existing business within your territory to achieve growth quota, and negotiate agreements with customers as needed.

* Work in coordination and as a team with the Sales Managers for new and renewal business opportunities.

* Producing presentations, business plans, contracts and RFP’s.

* Provide existing customers with ongoing training and product support via telephone and email.

* Utilize Salesforce for all communications, activity, and forecasting.

* Act as point of contact for customer queries and respond accordingly in a timely manner to their needs and requests.

* To carry out any reasonable project work / ad hoc task as requested by line management.

* To attend training and development as required.

It is expected that you will have at least 3 years recent telesales experience, the last 2 year working as a Telesales Account Manager, in addition you will have a good understanding of both Web and Mobile technology.
