Our client will also consider candidates without credit control experience if they have worked within the legal sector. For example if you have worked within an administrative capacity where you have had to be organised and are keen to get into credit control, then this would be an ideal opportunity for you.

Your responsibilities will include:

*Dealing with high volume debt collection.
*In-depth account reconciliations and interrogation of data.
*Updating and manipulating data on Excel.
*Managing queries and substantially reducing the number within strict timescales.
*Obtaining credit reports and recommending limits and advance payments where appropriate.
*Contacting clients by phone/email/letters to resolve problems.
*Monitoring receipts in accordance with agreed terms.
*Ensuring control procedures and cash allocations are carried out efficiently.

You need to be a strong Excel user as well as an excellent communicator, face to face and on the telephone. You will ideally come from a larger organisation that is fast paced, where you are used to dealing with high volume work however this is not essential for someone with the right attitude and work ethic. You must be highly organised with either a background within credit control or administration.

- Reviewing and analysing aged debt and making high volumes of calls to recover monies.
- Agreeing debt collection targets and negotiating payment plans.

- Identifying problem debts that require escalation and liaising with the Credit Control Manager as appropriate.
- Allocating cash.
- Reconciling accounts.
- Maintaining relationships with both colleagues and clients.
- Actively engaging, on a monthly basis, with managers and partners on debt status and preparing monthly summary reports.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required including invoice coding and running system reports.

You will:

-Have experience of working within a Finance team and will have proven experience of reducing aged debt.
- Happy carrying out temporary assignments.
- Have experience of working within a fast paced environment.
- Be confident with the full credit control process.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to communicate at all levels and be able to liaise with managers and clients.
- Be able to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines.
- Strong IT skills.

Due to significant growth we have an exciting opportunity for a Northern Europe, Securitisation Services Assistant to be based in our state-of-the-art offices in Manchester. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team that plays a key role in the business and will provide you with the opportunity to be instrumental in the production of reports to external stakeholders. 

Responsibilities within the role will include:

Assist the Senior Manager, responsible for the Cash Management function for all SPVs including timely satisfaction of contractual obligations and production of all cash distributions, any monthly and quarterly reporting and all investor reporting

Liaise with all external parties involved with the SPV’s, such as cash managers and corporate services providers, ensuring they receive accurate data and process it correctly

Liaise with the financial, operational and data teams to ensure efficient integration of financial information and analytical data into the data framework and systems to facilitate correct movement of cash and accurate reporting

Provision of accurate accounting information in order to facilitate the preparation of SPV statutory accounts, and to liaise with external auditors as part of the annual audit process

Assist in the development of systems, processes, procedures and controls to enhance reporting and increase departmental efficiency

Work with all stakeholders/clients, understanding their requirements and working to fulfil them

Be able to prioritise and calmly manage multiple demands for reporting from both external and internal areas, using relevant data sources, tools and facilities in the most productive way.

Skills we're looking for:

Strong analytical skills and numeracy, and meticulous, with high levels of accuracy under pressure

Ability to understand complex data and to ensure it is presented it in a clear and understandable way

Able to understand and manage large volumes of information: absorbs detail easily with strong, accurate recall.

Ability to identify any issues before they become major concerns for stakeholders/Clients 

High comfort level with Microsoft Office including advanced Excel and ability to present data in most meaningful way

Committed to high standards, willing to put in extra effort to ensure quality output and to meet deadlines

Logical thinker; able to plan all action steps to conclude assignments on time

Accounting background (part qualified) and mortgage industry knowledge preferable
