Quinton Davies are working on behalf of an accountancy practice based in Plymouth who are looking to strengthen their team with the addition of an Accounts & Payroll Assistant.

Based near the centre of Plymouth, this friendly and progressive firm are looking to bring on a new member of staff who is happy tackling a split role across both accounts & payroll. If you like to be busy then this is definitely the right role for you! There will be an element of bookkeeping involved as well so somebody with some exposure to this would be very much of interest.

Main Duties and responsibilities:

Accounts

To prepare sets of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and some limited companies.

Payroll

To assist with administering a wide assortment of payrolls, dealing with a variety of clients.
To assist with maintaining all payroll records by ensuring that all records are filed in an accurate and timely manner.

Bookkeeping

To assist with our bookkeeping service line.
To assist in preparing VAT returns and supporting records.

Qualifications & Experience required:

AAT qualified or equivalent
Must have experience working within an Accountancy Practice previously in a similar role
Xero accountancy software experience is essential
Can work to strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently

About the role

Here at Babcock International we're looking for a Nuclear Site Transformation Programme Manager to join us at HMNB Devonport, one of the largest naval bases in Western Europe. We're a key strategic partner to our customers; the MOD and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by supporting them in Devonport and around the world, delivering complex ship and submarine sustainment programmes and applying our core strengths of technology and expertise to sustain critical and complex assets to help maintain national security.

As the Nuclear Site Transformation Programme Manager you will use your significant knowledge and experience in transformational change management to develop and lead a Transformational Programme to build nuclear industry best practice in governance at the Devonport Nuclear site. You'll lead the programme to roll out Nuclear Safety Improvement projects to become "business as usual" across the site and develop the link from feeder strategic programmes to "business as usual" output.

As well as working on some of the most high-profile projects in the UK we also offer a supportive work environment where innovation is at the heart of what we do.

What do I need to do the role?

You'll be educated to degree or HND level in a relevant discipline and hold recognised professional status or significant experience in a relevant discipline.

We would also like you to have the following experience and competences:

Programme Management practitioner
Project Management practitioner
Risk Management
Managerial experience
Understanding of nuclear industry regulatory requirements
Understanding of nuclear industry best practice for change managementLastly you'll be used to and used to operating at Senior Management level and have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.

What else do I need to know?

The successful candidate will hold, or be eligible to obtain, Security Clearance at the appropriate level for this post.

Padstone Recruitment require an Electrician

JIB Electrician is required for work in Plymouth.

The Electrician will be on a day rate of £190

Electrician will be required to work on a busy new build commercial development which is currently half way through so the electrician must have a good understanding of both 1st fix works and containment as the project is at various stages on different floors.

Electrician duties will include:

Trunking
Tray
Basket
Data Cable
Lighting
WiringApplicants must have previous experience in a similar role. Electrician must have a JIB Gold card as a minimum. Applicants that hold a IPAF will be at a advantage however this is not essential.

Applicants must have own tools.

Electrician needs to have own PPE.

Electrician must be available for an immediate start.

Techniche are working closely with a Global Manufacturing Marine organisation based in Plymouth. Due to continue growth, the introduction of new premises and launching of new product concepts, the organisation are seeking a Senior SHE Business Partner.

The Role:

* Provide front-line leadership to the SHE department

* Lead the provision of a comprehensive SHE service to the business units, providing guidance and support to the managers on all SHE matters.

* Lead the promotion, delivery and auditing of SHE policies and programmes in the workplace and ensure business units are legally compliant.

* Leading the front-line promotion of a positive health and safety culture in all areas of the company through shop floor involvement and development of the Safety Champions & Reps

* Leading the front line support to business units with the root cause analysis, corrective and preventative (CA/PA) measures of accidents, incidents and near misses

* Compilation and review of safety and environmental management systems in line with accredited standards (ISO 14001/ OHSAS18001 & latterly 45001 once aligned and accredited)

* Leading the completion of independent safety and assurance audits in line with an agreed programme

* Assist business units to comprehensively close out findings of internal and external audits (CA/PA)

Responsibilities & Tasks:

* Accurate and on time S, H & E reports and statistics

* Lead the promotion and use of S, H & E policies and procedures in conjunction with Line managers.

* Lead the development of company S, H & E objectives, policies, procedures and standards

Experience Required:

* Member of IOSH, minimum Grad(IOSH)

* Demonstrable history of working within a manufacturing / or similar industry (manufacturing, production, or highly regulated; marine, rail, defence etc)
