KS1 Year 1 teacher - Redbridge NQT - M3 jobs

Job Description: Master Class Education is working with a long standing client in Redbridge in East London, to source an experienced and hardworking KS1 teacher to teach a vibrant year 1 classroom in a friendly primary school to start after half term until the end of the academic year.

There is opportunity for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.

Our client is a larger than average primary school serving a diverse, vibrant community. The school has recently undergone an expansion programme, rising to 3 form entry. The school aims to provide modern facilities that support the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum, inspiring our pupils to excel in all aspects of their learning and development. The governing body work closely with staff to ensure the quality of provision is given high levels of attention. Due to this focus, recent results for the end of KS2 are much improved with pupils achieving above average rates of progress by the time they move on to secondary education.

They are seeking an experienced, qualified and highly skilled KS1 teacher who can support the learning of a year 1 classroom. The classroom is generally well behaved however a few pupils are disruptive at times so behaviour management would be essential.

The suitable candidate must have:

- Recent experience working as a year 1 teacher in a primary school/ inner-city environment;
- Have QTS and be a qualified KS1 teacher;
- Have knowledge of delivering PPA for KS1;
- Experience working with small groups and one to one within an intervention setting;
- A strong background in delivering phonics lessons;
- Be a hardworking and enthusiastic team player;
- Be able to plan and deliver tailored lesson plans/activities relevant to pupil’s learning requirements;
- Have excellent behaviour management skills;
- Excellent understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum;
- Have a valid DBS certificate in last 12 months or willing to have a new one carried out;
- Be able to provide 2 current referee details from schools worked in within past 2 years.

The school is easily accessible and well located to local transport links within Redbridge.

This will be a long term position to commence after February half term break.
