About the Role:

* To assist in securing enquiries likely to result in subsequent orders for the Company

* To coordinate the process of assembling and submitting a budget and / or final tender submission

* To assist in the negotiation of the submitted tender culminating in order placement

* Ensure the smooth handover of the awarded contract information to the Project Team

Responsibilities:

* Where requested, actively pursue project leads. Make initial contact with Architect, QS, Contractor or other members of the design and construct team.

* Establish project requirements and if appropriate, register the Company’s interest in being included on the list of tenders

* Maintain close relationship with customers, prospects etc. where potential exists to promote the interests of the business.

* When preliminary budget prices are requested, coordinate activities with other departments and submit required pricing and related information

* With the Managing, Operations, Project and Technical Directors organise the assessment of new tender enquiries

* Following the Company’s acceptance of the client’s tender enquiry request, take ownership and manage the bid process in full

* Organise Project numbering, filing structure, documentation distribution along with communication protocols

* Following the issue of client’s instruction to proceed or letter of intent, organise a project award meeting to provide the projects department and other interested parties with all the necessary information to take future ownership of the project

* Following handover of the project to the project team, provide such subsequent assistance as requested to ensure the smooth transfer of any residual information not included at contract award stage

* Actively seek feedback on all tenders submitted (won or lost) and distribute and record feedback internally

* Assist in the organisation and execution of any public relations exercise

* Attend as required activities where customers and potential customers are present, such as exhibitions corporate hospitality events etc, to represent the interests of the Company

* Organise and maintain the input of all relevant information regarding the project

* Comply with the requirements of the Company’s quality control procedures as appropriate
