As a Store Support Colleague in Currys PC World, you’ll be keeping the store replenished and merchandised. About the CMA

In 2008 competition was introduced into the provision of water services for business customers in Scotland. The physical activities of delivering clean water to, and removing wastewater from, business premises remain the responsibility of Scottish Water. The activities of meter reading, billing and customer care are the responsibility of competing retailers, known as Licensed Providers. Scottish Water invoices each Licensed Provider for the water and wastewater services provided to their customers. Licensed Providers add their retail margin to the wholesale bill and provide business customers with a retail bill.

It is the job of the CMA to maintain a record of which customers are served by which Licensed Provider and to calculate what each Licensed Provider should pay Scottish Water for wholesale services.

The CMA is a company limited by guarantee. All participants in the market are required to become members of the CMA and to accede to the Market Code. The CMA currently has 31 members.

The CMA Board consists of seven directors, made up as follows:

* The Chairman
* The CMA CEO
* Two Licensed Provider nominees
* One Scottish Water nominee
* Two non-industry non-executives

It is the non-industry non-executive post that will become vacant on the 1st March 2020.

The NED will:

Contribute to the company's vision and strategy, by bringing innovation and relevant experience to Board discussions.
Monitor and question how well the firm's management is meeting its objectives, by scrutinising the company's operational and financial performance.
Ensure that the major risks affecting the company are identified and managed.
Foster good relationships with existing CMA stakeholders and assist in developing new stakeholder relationships.Person specification

The NED should demonstrate:

Previous experience in senior management, non-executive roles, or senior positions within academia.
A strong scientific or quantitative background, specifically, Chemistry or Biology.
A proven ability to think strategically.
The ability to constructively engage with senior management and other NEDs and provide a challenge on difficult issues.
A commitment to developing a good understanding of the operation of the water market in Scotland.Time commitment

There are 6 scheduled CMA Board meetings per year (held every other month from January) and typically one additional strategic planning meeting. Additionally, there are generally two Audit Committee meetings and one Nomination Committee meeting, which are all attended by the non-industry non-executive directors.

Terms and conditions

The appointment is for a period of 2 years. Remuneration is £12k per annum plus the cost of travel to central Glasgow.

working in confined spacesThe groundworker's mate must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

Safe lifting and handling proceduresAs a groundworker/ groundworker mate, you will have a valid CSCS card, PPE, previous site experience and must be able to work in the Stirling area. Due to location we will require you to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle. We also require two checkable references.

In order to start this job, you will need your DOMS and Confined Space. The DOMS course will be provided for free. We will book and pay for the confined space course for you with the agreement that this money will be paid back to us over your first 2/3 weeks pay.

We require the candidate to start ASAP, for a period of 7months. You will work 40-50hrs per week. You must be flexible as site demands may change and you may be required to work longer hours and weekends. No digs. Parking is available. Rate of pay will be based on experience and in the region of £12-£14/hr.

The QA Officer is responsible for helping to administer the Quality Management System and helping ensuring it adheres to GxP activities and ISO standards. PRIMARY DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

i)    To provide high standard of administrative support to enable the Quality Department to work within a framework of continual Quality Improvement

ii)   Assistance  in creation of monthly quality business reports and assessing compliance to KPIs as required by the Quality Director

iii)  Manage all aspects of Serious Incident Requiring Investigation (SIRI) investigation including follow up of QA tickets to ensure completion prior to Quality Director sign off

iv)  To be responsible for maintenance of the ISO 9001 and GMP/GDP Quality Systems including training of staff in SOP’s, non conforming product investigations and management of deviations

v)   Good knowledge/understanding of GMP regulations and guidelines

vi)  To support Filling plant  with investigations including scanning batch record paperwork to QP/Contract QP when they are offsite along with providing quality administration in the maintenance of the QMS system

vii)To investigate, resolve and report corrective and preventative actions as required, including logging and investigation of complaints and equipment issues using the QA ticket system.

viii)   Provide assistance in management of ISO /GMP/GDP audits and creation of records as required.

ix)  Performance of internal quality audits for ISO and GMP/GDP and where appropriate external audits for suppliers

x)   To be involved in the participation and completion of agreed projects involving the Quality function to provide a quality input and help participate and complete any specific agreed project objectives.

Experience Required

i)       Undergraduate degree or relevant equivalent experience.

A Quality professional with experience in a quality control environment.
Consultancy and partnership skills, including negotiation and influencing skills; proactively building relationship with others to achieve results
People Management skills
Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently, exercising a high degree of autonomy.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Ability to use statistical and other data to produce high level reports.
Excellent written and IT skills, with the ability to accurately & clearly document specifications / manuals

Job Description: Site Engineer Required

Birmingham Area

Long Term Contract - Option to turn Permanent if wanted.

My client is a leading contractor in the RC Frame & Groundwork sector. My client are currently recruiting a Site Engineer to complete a 24 month scheme. You will be required to manage all the setting out of an RC Frame & Groundwork package.

Site Engineer Responsibilities:

* Reporting to and working with the Project Manager and foreman.

* Liaising with main contractor engineer.

* Site set up and compliance with health and safety.

* Completing all setting out associated to the RC Frame & Groundwork package

* Raising technical queries on design issues.

Site Engineer Requirements:

* CSCS card

* RC Frame experience

* Groundwork experience

* Degree in civil engineering/construction or time served

Stirling

£14 - £15 per hour

6 Months

We have an immediate requirement for x2 groundworkers for our site in Stirling.

Project is the construction of a factory storage facility. This project has only recently kicked off and will run for 6 months.

Work involved at this stage of the contract is digging foundations, drainage, concreting, etc.

We're looking for highly experienced groundworkers only.

Must have CSCS Card.
