Unqualified teachers needed ASAP for secondary schools across Surrey jobs

Job Description: anzuk Education currently have a large demand for enthusiastic and reliable cover supervisors and unqualified teachers to work in several of our secondary schools, and SEND provisions, all across Surrey. The boroughs in which we have the greatest demand for cover supervisors are as follows; Dorking, Guildford, Woking, Ashtead and Redhill. The majority of the schools that we work with directly have excellent public transport links, and you will receive regular support from experienced consultants who have established outstanding relationships with our clients. Previous experience supporting children with SEND requirements (e.g. autism) would be advantageous, although not essential.  
 
The key responsibilities of a cover supervisor/unqualified teacher typically involve: 
  
-  Delivering assigned lesson plans in a structured manner, to promote
   complete pupil engagement in the learning activities.   
-  Utilising effective behavioural management techniques to assist in promoting
   an optimal learning environment within the classroom. 
- Undertake additional duties, such as break and lunch duties, as and when is
   required. 
  
The majority of our roles require candidates who are able to commit to a long-term position 5 days a week, during typical school hours (usually between 8:30am - 3:30pm). 
 
Requirements: 
To apply and commence working with us you must meet the below criteria: 
- Possess an Enhanced Child DBS with an update service subscription, or
  demonstrate the willingness to apply for one through anzuk. 
- Possess an updated CV, outlining paid employment covering the last two
  years - any gaps in employment must be accounted for. 
- Be based in Surrey, or surrounding areas, and able to provide a valid police    
  check from countries you have lived in (outside of the UK) within the last 5
  years. 
- Be able to show experience working with children in a coaching, tutoring,
  teaching or mentoring role - or a willingness to learn and undertake new
  challenges! 
 
You must have all of the above to be able to be cleared for work. 
 
Salary: 
Cover supervisors/unqualified teachers often receive daily rates ranging from £80 - £90 per day, dependent upon previous experience. Higher rates of pay can be considered for high-performing candidates with excellent references.

This Special school is an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities.

As part of our growth strategy; we’re really pleased to be opening a brand new Secondary ASC mixed school in September 2021 in Surrey with a proposed capacity of 40 pupils.

As an exciting project; we’re currently looking for a Headteacher to join us in Easter 2021 to take the lead in the creation, opening and running of another successful ASC provisions in the Surrey area.

The role:

The building is currently a shell; so you’ll be expected to play a key role in the design, look and feel of the school to ensure it fulfils its potential of an amazing learning environment with the facilities to allow students to access a varied curriculum in a calm and nurturing environment with a team that strives to give every student the confidence and opportunities to achieve.

Like all Headteacher roles; you will ultimately be accountable for all areas of operational and educational performance within the School, as well as the financial performance and management of education and support staff.

Unlike most Headteacher roles; you will you will be instrumental in the recruitment of your entire team (who all need to be in place by September 2021) and the design and implementation of a brand new curriculum.

The plan is to divide the building into 8 classrooms with the capacity for 5 student in each, (40 pupils in total). This will enable us to create curriculum areas for D&T, Science, cookery, ICT and art. The building will have a new playground to the rear and parking for 15 cars.

To achieve in this role you will be someone who inspires creativity and collaboration, a strong leader and a passionate advocate for your students, finding ways to deliver educational outcomes that make a real difference to them.

Experience:

Successful candidate are likely to demonstrate the following:

* Qualified Teacher Status with further professional qualification in a relevant area. Candidates with Head Teacher qualification (such as NPQH) or a willingness to gain such a qualification preferred.

* Experience of working as a senior leader within an SEN environment

* A clear understanding of Ofsted frameworks and safeguarding legislation in relation to independent schools.

* Quality assurance experience (such as lesson observations and performance management)

* Team management experience.

* Experience of financial planning and control

* Superb communication and stakeholder management skills

Uniform Education are working alongside an academy in Surrey that provides an education for boys aged 9 to 16, with social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

Some pupils also have moderate learning and attachment difficulties. This means that pupils struggle to form strong, healthy and sustainable relationships with others and can present with challenging behaviour. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Class sizes are small with no more than six pupils in each teaching group. Lessons are carefully planned and take into account the needs, interests and abilities of all pupils so that learning is more purposeful and engaging. Additional support in the classroom is provided by way of classroom assistants who work with pupils to build their confidence and self-esteem whilst also supporting their academic, social and developmental needs.

The academy is part of an academy trust, which specialises in SEND. The positions are temporary to permanent, meaning you will join in January (or sooner) through Uniform, and then look to switch to a permanent contract early in the new year.

Overview:

The purpose of the General Manager’s role is to provide leadership of IT service required for the integrated business and operational activities. The post holder is responsible for the delivery of key business goals and objectives and the provision of IT services that are of the highest quality and which represent value for money.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* To provide and manage IT service (applications, infrastructure, PMO and help desk)

* To evaluate, develop, cost, design and implement all IM&T changes that support the operation of the service including both Wide Area and Local Area Networks.

* To monitor risks and undertake risk assessment of issues with the Pathology IT Programme as they arise.

* To monitor progress and delivery milestones as specified by the BSPS programme plan

* To lead and manage Informatics for the service.

* To ensure all information is validated and complies with information governance policies.

* To ensure strategic and operational direction of informatics meets the needs of the service.

* To chair the service’s IT Committee.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT:

* To manage capacity and demand ensuring that turnaround time targets are met.

* To develop and implement an annual business plan that delivers the key business goals and objectives for IT.

* To develop and present business cases for capital and service developments as required.

* To proactively identify potential obstacles to achieving key business goals and objectives and establish appropriate handling strategies to overcome these.

* To establish and maintain effective business performance management processes that monitors performance against plans. In the event of under-performance, take rapid and decisive corrective action to correct.

WORKFORCE:

* To review staffing levels and ensure that they are appropriate for current and projected demands.

* To have two-way communications on a regular basis with the IT Management Team, particularly regarding each Trust’s objectives, plans, and business developments.

* To review the IT Training Plans, to ensure training and development of staff meet the service needs and objectives.

* To ensure that each Trust’s corporate objectives are achieved through annual staff appraisals.

* To ensure effective recruitment and retention in line with each Trust’s relevant policy and procedures.

* To develop effective internal communications to staff including team briefing.

FINANCIAL RESOURCES

* To plan the annual budget in conjunction with the Finance Department.

* To ensure that services are managed effectively to provide financial viability and a balanced budget.

* To ensure that the Management team receive regular financial information on performance against plan and actively monitor and forecast variations to the budget, taking immediate action to maintain a balanced budget if adverse variance occurs.

OPERATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS

* To ensure effective management and utilisation of resources.

* To work effectively with Clinical Consultant Information Officer, Partner Trust IT leads and other General Managers to ensure of a productive and cohesive leadership team.

* To ensure that processes are re-designed so that the patients experience is improved, and efficiency gained.

QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE

* To support the clinical governance of BSPS working with specialty leads, Clinical Consultant Information Officer, Partner Trust IT leads and other General Managers to continual improve clinical quality

* To monitor and review quality and standards within the context of the clinical governance agenda and take action to improve where required.

* To set, develop and monitor key performance indicators and take action where required
