TXM Recruit is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to join our clients established team based in Tewkesbury who work at the cutting-edge of technology. This is an opportunity to have a measurable impact on the business performance by promoting the highest standards of quality.
Working for a low volume, high-value manufacturer of precision motion control components for the aerospace industry, you’ll be investigating both internally and externally identified quality issues and supporting the quality culture of the business.
In this role, you will be expected to have advanced problem-solving skills, as you will be drawn upon as a resource in the resolution of complex issues.
You will assist in the planning, implementation, and administration of complex Quality Programmes to assure that a system is in place which is cost-effective, yet meets or exceeds contractual quality requirements and provides the required level of protection to our client and its Customers.
Given the unpredictability of the quality workload, this can result in multiple investigations running in parallel. The successful candidate must be able to prioritise the activities, effectively manage their workload, to ensure progress is maintained.

Key Expertise

Ideally, Degree qualified or equivalent within an engineering discipline
*
Experience within the Aerospace Industry or a similarly regulated industry is essential
*
Confidently assist and facilitate complex problems solving activities resulting in the completion of customer-visible investigations using the 8D methodology or similar
*
Exposure to APQP type activities either in aerospace (AS13000, AS13003, AS13004) or the equivalent activities in automotive is essential
*
Be able to participate in and facilitate Process and Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis
*
Ability to complete improvement activities associated with zero Defects approach using defect prevention tools
*
Have experience of implementing corrective action activities to ensure robust CAs for systemic issues are introduced.
*
Knowledge of the material review board process
