The mainstream school prides themselves in providing exceptional care for their students who need individual support in the school. This is to ensure that all children are treated equally and fairly within a classroom environment.

In addition, the school offers great training for teaching assistants to help with moving, handling or restraining training if needed. Furthermore, the staffing team in the school work collectively to ensure that lessons are adapted with learning resources for all students to be included within the lesson. This is important as there are a few cases where a child may need extra support within a classroom environment or a quiet space on their own.

Details of the role...

The ideal Special Needs Teaching Assistant will:

Provide support for SEN students within a mainstream classroom environment
Use therapies to help with a child's development in the classroom such as visual therapy
Be assisting with other students on days where an SEN pupil may not be in.
Work between 8:30 and 4:30 Monday to Friday ( Times can vary depending on schedule)

Overview:

As a Principal within the Network Management Group, the aim of the role is to lead and manage operational service delivery of a range of functions that the Tower Hamlets undertakes it's network management duty to manage its public highway network with a view to achieving, so far as is reasonably practicable having regard to its other obligations, policies and objectives to secure the safe and expeditious movement of traffic on the borough road network.

The candidate possess experience and knowledge in the field of Network Coordination, Compliance or Highways Licensing.

Experience & Knowledge required:

Candidate shall have knowledge and experience working within a Street Works or Highways background.

You will work as part of a team of Officers responsible for upholding Tower Hamlets Streetworks Inspection & Compliance duty in accordance with NRSWA 1991 and TMA 2004.

The role will primarily involve processing various highway licenses, coordination and inspection of Street Works and other activities that take place on the highway.

The candidate will need to be an effective communicator both written and verbal with ability to take accurate notes and build good working relationships with stakeholders.

For this post you must have a valid Driving Licence, a NRSWA Accreditation and be able to provide your own vehicle for business use to undertake site visits/meetings.

About the Role - Science Teacher/ Teacher of Science - Tower Hamlets

The successful candidate for this permanent Science Teacher role will be a Science specialist, who is able to teach Geography to students from KS3-KS5. The ideal Science Teacher/ Teacher of Sciencey will be passionate about the curriculum and will be a self-starter, who is eager to find new and improved ways of teaching topics and sparking students' interests. Empowering Learning are recruiting Graduate SEN LSA's for positions based in the East London region. The positions are to work within Mainstream or SEND schools alongside pupils with Special Educational Needs such as Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties and Social Emotional Mental Health.

Job Responsibilities

Academic and social support towards pupils with various Learning Difficulties
Ability to engage and support pupils
Being able to adapt and be creative in your approach
Managing challenging behaviour

Job Requirements

Experience of supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities desirable
Able to stay calm and de-escalate challenging Behaviour
Valid DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
Available 5 days a week and able to commit to at least 1-6 months
