4. You will organise and liaise with external testing laboratories to arrange correct and on time testing to meet production deadlines or suppliers of equipment or chemicals.

1. Relevant degree in a Chemistry or Biochemistry related discipline plus industry experience.

The ICT department of Wiltshire Council is looking for a new Network Telephony Server Engineer on a permanent contract.

About the role

The post will report to the Operations Team Lead. The position will require more experience with telephony, specifically Mitel Enterprise Voice version MCD6 and above including Mi Contact centre, although the role is to also cover the network and server side.

As a Network Telephony Server Engineer, you will be responsible for the support of the technical solutions affecting the network infrastructure in the Data Centre, Corporate LAN and call centres, including police 999 emergency and 101 non-emergency contact centres.

This includes removal of server and storage, telephony hardware and software, system configuration, maintenance and documentation as well as assisting the network installations.

Knowledge of Avaya would be advantageous.

About you

You will be expected to work closely with our colleagues in all areas of ICT, Wiltshire Council and Police and their strategic partners to deliver a seamless service to our customers both internal and external and as such will require strong communication and influencing skills.

You'll be expected to have an expert knowledge of Mitel Enterprise Voice including Mi Contact centre.
