We are currently working alongside an Award-winning RIBA chartered practice based in West of London on the lookout for a Project running architect with experience working within Revit.

Our client has completed projects across the capital, the UK and Europe, and is currently working on a resort scheme overseas. The practice has a broad and loyal client base, a flexible approach to site specific design and a diverse portfolio that includes housing developments, offices, hotels and bars, student housing and private homes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Architect to work within a highly knowledgeable company on a variety of projects using Revit as the main software. Our client is looking for an individual to come in and hit the ground running, running projects from conception to completion as well as running a small team.

Essential Qualifications/ experience for this Project Running Architect role:

Number of years' experience post Part 3 qualification
Excellent working knowledge of Revit
Knowledge of UK building regulations/ producing and submitting planning applications
Experience working on site as well as working within an office environment
Experience in all RIBA stages

Main duties:

Generate and manage a cost control system to support Project Managers' decision making.
Ensure any deviations from budget are promptly identified / analysed with corrective action taken.
Establish a cost awareness atmosphere among project teams whilst satisfying both operating client company and corporate cost control reporting requirements.

Other responsibilities:

Initial Project phase:

After contract award, ensure the implementation of the Cost Control System, elaborating the consolidated Cost Breakdown Structure according to the relevant procedure, reviewing the procurement/accounting system adopted at each operating company involved with the project.
Issue the Project Cost Control Procedure, Cost Coding Manual and Risk Management Plan, for the Project Control Manager verification.
Split the Commercial Budgets in order to report revenues/costs by entity, currencies, and prepare cash flow by currency.
Coordinate risk management activities and the qualitative / quantitative assessment of identified risks and opportunities.

Project execution phase:

Ensure the cost control system works effectively and cost status is assessed and reported.
Monitor activity progress and the relevant earned value, as well as value of work done, against invoices received, determining monthly accruals and generating accounts in line with works progress.
Support projects during the contract changes/claims process, providing cost impact analysis, and updating cost/revenue forecasts.
Analyse committed costs and activities to-date, review estimates to completion and advise the Project Managers accordingly.
Maintain the risk management process, organizing periodic meetings and verifying risk owners feedback
Issue project and company reports.
