We are currently supporting a public sector organisation who urgently need to increase their care assistant manpower in a few of their residential homes - this is due to the current coronavirus crisis, however these roles could go on for awhile or lead to permanent opportunities eventually.

All of the workplaces will be on site, no community or homecare is required.

Purpose of the Role:

To work within the residential care unit providing support for the users.

It will require rota work to include evenings and weekends.

Assist residents in the home to maintain their independence and assist as and when required.

Be-able to offer personal support to residents that need this - i.e; washing, bathing, dressing etc...

Offer friendly and supportive conversation at this very challenging time.

Liaise and up-date management with residents needs and support.

Good knowledge of health & safety within this environment.

Involved with meetings linked to specific reidents to ensure their care is correct at all times.

Desireable:

NVQ 2 in social care - or the willingness to undertake and work towards it.

First Aid knowledge is an advantage.

Possess Safe Moving & Handling Techniques.

Experience of looking after residents with dementia.

Essential:

Experience of working within a care home or residential home.

Experience of caring and supporting older clients.

Be-able to assist moving them safely and correctly.

Must ideally be-able to read and understand basic care plans.

Work as a team and have good communication skills.

Criteria:

Do you love delving into technical detail when a request for tender comes through?

How do you fancy being involved in selecting the most interesting and profitable jobs around?

It’d worry me, to be honest. I’d struggle working out whether it was cheaper to drive to work or to get the train. Never mind going through the intricacies of costing a bespoke piece of work, figuring out whether it’s possible to manufacture and whether it’d actually work.

If you’re the sort of person who thrives on that kind of responsibility I think this role could be for you.

Right now you’ll probably be working on costing, bid management, feasibility studies and putting together proposals for bespoke technical products. As long as you’re ok dealing with a full project and not comfortable with the cup holders on a train, you’ll probably be ok.

Don’t worry though. You won’t need a little black book or a list of contacts to get in touch with. When you start you’ll find that you’re probably turning down more work that you’re bidding on. That’s because the order book is pretty full now and, as much as the growth plans in this place are pretty ambitious, I know they’re keen to make sure they don’t bite off more than they can chew.

You’ll get plenty of technical support in that period that and you’ll get up to speed by spending time in different areas of the business to understand what a good job looks like for them. If you’ve been around tenders for bespoke vehicles in the past you’ll probably hit the ground running a bit quicker.

The salary is open to discussion but i see this paying in the region of 50k.

Contracts / Projects engineer / manager is required to join a leading facilities service provider on a large, multi-disciplinary, hard services contract based from Wakefield. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is exceptionally client focused and can manage and lead a team engineers and subcontractors to deliver works in the commercial gas / electrical / commercial air conditioning industry.
* Day to day management of the client relationship
* Targeted to deliver growth and continuous improvement in service delivery
* Innovative solution design
* Manage project budgets and subcontractor
* Provide and manage quotes for additional works
* Scope of works
* Recruitment, training and development of staff to include 121's and performance reviews
* Generate additional business within the contract and monitoring finance
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and driven manager with previous experience of managing large teams of engineers across a multi-faceted contract. You will have a strong management style and adaptable to the various stakeholders. You will be dynamic and able to adapt to the changing working environments and budgetary constraints of the client. You will ideally hold NEBOSH OR IOSH health and safety qualification and ideally hold a carpentry, , construction, mechanical, electrical qualification or HNC/HND in Building Services or Facilities Management.
