My client is looking for a candidate with a wealth of experience that can provide an adaptable and forward-thinking approach to their business who is also open and capable of travelling to Austria, Germany, Portugal and London during the early stages of their role.

OVERVIEW:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the Manufacturing Facility and for all non- production related activities. Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the site ensuring it remains within legal and SHE compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for SHE compliance and overall site target.
Determine and manage the budget to ensure the resources (time, money, capital equipment, etc.) required to operate and complete the planned annual objectives.
Regular reviews of the production and site schedule with key stakeholders, instigate and revise schedules/plan as required to meet objectives.
Ensure that the site deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality to meet goals and objectives.
Close liaison with overseas plants and Logistics planning to ensure smooth throughput to maintain level of operation.
Agree critical business targets with supporting business functions and interact with those functions appropriately to ensure they are delivered.
Lead, motivate, coach and inspire employees and direct reports.
Maintain a positive work environment and be open-minded.
Lead for all discussions with authorities, partners, grant bodies, control and Government bodies, neighbours and lobby groups relating to manufacturing site activities.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

Significant experience gained at either a Tier 1 automotive supplier, automotive OEM, or larger General Industry operation including large manufacturing sites or projects and be able to demonstrate direct knowledge of running the administrative services of large organisations.
Experience within an assembly environment would also be preferable
Financial background or previous P&L experience would beneficial and advantageous with experience of management reports.
Candidate will bring a strong technical knowledge of project management skills, facilities knowledge, techniques and processes.

- Diagnose faults using complex circuit drawings
- Experience in fault finding and programming invertors and various PLC’s
- Can demonstrate experience in various site systems; CCTV, Access controls, SCADA, machine specific control systems
- Be flexible in approach to shift cover and over busy trading periods
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, multi-tasking

You will have responsibility for the electrical installation, maintenance and repair of production equipment, planned preventative maintenance and breakdown, whilst also ensuring continuous availability across the business.
To be on call to rectify and eliminate equipment faults and machine down time and to carry out improvements to equipment, working alongside Production and Technical functions to maintain quality, hygiene, Health & Safety and productivity standards

Job Description: Principle Accountabilities

Support development of the finance team to drive performance and continuous improvement.
Lead a team of four people, two on each operational site.
Support the operational managers to ensure they have the information required to aid sound financial decisions/debates

Monitor the financial performance of the cost base within the IDT ensuring business cost reduction targets are achieved.

Provide support, challenge and guidance to wider functions within the operations element of the IDT

Ensure sound Financial controls are embedded within the business

About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit an experienced Retail Manager to join our Training Division as a Retail Trainer/Assessor. We are a trusted name across the training and apprenticeships market and are one of the UK's largest and most reputable training providers.

You'll be part of a large team of Apprenticeship Trainers and Assessors who provide training to numerous markets including Automotive, Active Leisure, Hospitality, Retail and Health and Social Care.

Using your experience within Retail at a Supervisory level, you will train and support learners who are on an Apprenticeship Programme for either Level 2, 3 or 4 in Retail.

You will visit the learners once a month where they are working that day and deliver teaching, learning and assessment towards their Apprenticeship. You will maintain documentation within the e-portfolio system, identify and engage with potential employers and learners and build on existing client relationships.
As well as being part of a business that support over 14,000 apprentices, we'll also provide you with all the training that you need to become a fully qualified Apprentice Trainer and Assessor.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to have Retail management experience with a good academic background. You must also be willing to travel across the North Wales region.

We would also like you to have the following:
* GCSE A-C in Maths & English or equivalent, as well as ideally holding a Retail qualification
* Excellent organisational skills and a professional demeanour

* Have a valid driving licence and your own car, with a willingness to travel within the region
* A keen interest in supporting people through their Apprenticeship.

What else do I need to know?
* Salary is £23,409 increasing to £23,929.20 upon successful completion of probation.
* Travel expenses are covered.
* Permanent position, 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend working as business dictates however this isn't regular.
