Education Matters Group, on behalf of our cient Remarco are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer.

Remarco is a small IT consultancy firm working within the financial service industry. Currently we employ three permanent members of staff and work with several contractors to provide IT services to a number of clients.

Our primary focus is the development and maintenance of web applications and bespoke systems on behalf of these clients. These include document management and payroll systems heavily geared towards customer relationship management and accounting support. Job Description:

As part of a small team, the roles are flexible and tasks can range over various technologies. The primary role as a senior developer will require you to be involved in all stages of the software development life cycle. The day to day role will be focused on writing code, adapting existing code, bug fixes and testing the system to make sure there are no errors when deployed. At the moment, most of the applications are web based therefore Object-Oriented PHP development skills and PostgreSQL administrative skills are strongly desired.

Duties of the role include managing a team to ensure that IT systems in the London and Sark offices are working efficiently. The role will entail specifying and scoping problems and recording the requirements for further developments. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be required to design and implement solutions by scoping problems with the team. Will also be required to develop and provide solutions to clients to help identify areas in which the IT systems can be improved. In addition, the successful candidate will ensure that the servers are running optimally.

As a secondary role, the role will include some amount of Windows desktop and application support. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, diagnosing network issues, being on call to fix general computer problems, ensuring software is up to date, virus troubleshooting, purchasing new equipment and setting up new user workstations.

The purpose of this role is to be the lead within the PMO on the control of resource requirements and allocation for the NRTS Transformation Programme.

* Liaison with the HR business partner in the acquisition of project resources to fill identified gaps;

They are responsible for:

* Monitoring and reporting resource utilisation, ensuring that project team members are correctly allocating their time to projects:
* Assessing and prioritising plan requirements and resource allocation to projects;
* Developing and managing a resource database/resource allocation tool to identify availability and manage the resource "pool":
* Setting up and managing an onboarding service for new joiners to ensure that all resource allocated to project is ready to hit the ground running:
* Managing resource deployment, from allocation to a project to roll-off/redeployment at the end of their time on a project:
* Setting up and managing the "bottom-up" capture of programme and project resource requirements, identifying the quantity and type of resources needed to support the project delivery plans:
* Developing and managing the consolidated view of programme resources, determining current and forecast resource needs:
* Providing resource reporting that identifies potential conflicts, and that supports resource allocation decision making:
* Working with programme and project managers to create a forecast supply and demand view that highlights over and under allocation of resource across the programme:
* Supporting the acquisition of temporary or contract resources to plug current resourcing gaps:
* Providing the link between the programme and the HR team to develop role profiles, plus the communications and administration associated with resource acquisition

Typical deliverables include:

* Programme resource utilisation reports;
* Timesheet management and reporting;
* Resource allocation processes, tools and database:
* Programme and project resource role profiles;
* Programme onboarding processes and materials;
* Capacity planning processes and tools;
* Resource requirement forecasts (supply and demand);
* Resource planning processes, tools and reports;

Competencies

* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role;
* Effective communication within team and with stakeholders;
* An experienced user of the relevant resource management processes and toolsets, techniques;
* Experience of programme or portfolio resource control;
* Experience in working on technology projects;
* Practical ability to utilise critical programme and project management concepts, such as Prince2, MSP and P3O;
* Computer literate & experienced in Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications
* Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in an appropriate discipline is desirable. Depth and breadth of experience will be considered where these qualifications have not been attained;
* Significant track record of successful work;

Desirable:
* APMP - Certified Project Management Associate;
