This opportunity for a Facilities Coordinator who will Support day to day operations with the effective utilisation of computer systems and assist in the overall performance of all general administrative duties.
An opportunity for a Graduate Assistant Asset Manager has become available with a leading FM & Building services contractor. The role will be based at their Head office in Watford.
Your role is to manage all aspects relating to Life Cycle Asset Management and deliver compliant, Intelligent, cost effective solutions and reports in a professional and safe manner.
You will work with on-site facilities project teams, technology centre, specialist engineering resource & internal groups to delivering the operational requirements to a range of clients.
You will ensure building life cycle asset management is embedded into day to day operations increasing the value of the companies offer to existing and new Customers. In order to be successful in this role, you will need some experience in the following:
* Appreciation of buildings their composition & condition relevant to asset management
* A track record of working in teams or in isolation and are a good communicator
* The ability to challenge information and manipulate data
* The ability to work at different levels within a project to ensure all targets are met
* Ability to work in a client facing environment

Field Service Engineer - Instrumentation - Watford/Dartford

Role + Responsibilities

The role requires servicing, commissioning and fault diagnostics/repair of a range of electronic and mechanical process control instrumentation.

Main responsibilities

Requirement to travel throughout the UK, overseas and possibly offshore
Periods of absence from home will be expected from time to time which will include overnight stays in hotels
To commission, calibrate and repair on site instrumentation
To work in all industries within the Company customer database
To liaise with the Service Coordinators to ensure that all spares, tools and paperwork is available to enable them to carry out their duties
In the event of non-completion of the job, contact the Service Coordinator to arrange or confirm the next site visit
To liaise with customers when required prior to executing the job to ensure full understanding of the nature of the job and also to advise estimated time of arrival and of any delays which may be anticipated

To work to local and industry procedures and to comply with industry codes of practice and the Company quality management system
Maintain company equipment
To man the 24-hour technical helpline according to the roster set by the Service Coordinators
Provide services and support to other departments and customers as deemed appropriate by the Services Manager
To assist the development and training of other engineers and workshop staff as required
Timely and accurate job reporting in accordance with the Company service report forms
Abide by the Company's policy document
Qualification + Profile

Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC level, preferably in Electronics or Instrumentation of control
Recognised apprenticeship in the above disciplines is ideal or a minimum of 2 years' Process Control experience
Problem solving and diagnostic skills
To be highly self-motivated and have the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
A flexible approach to working activities
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Assertiveness
The ability to develop good working relationships with customers
Good organisational skills
Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
A clean driving licence

Our client has been providing independent property and construction consultancy support for over 50 years. They are a medium sized privately-owned consultancy firm, with 125 people employed over 6 offices around the UK providing Building Surveying, Cost Management and Project Management along with other support services.

Our client works across a variety of sectors including historic buildings, leisure, commercial office, retail, residential, industrial and public attractions among others.

Our client has a requirement for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor

The position necessitate 2 or 3 days per week based in a Watford site office, so good access to that area is strongly required. On the remaining days you will be based in the central London office.

About the Role:

Reporting to Senior team member and the Local Director you will work as a key element of the team focused on the delivery of Quantity Surveying duties on live projects in London, Watford and the South East. Additionally, you will support the Local team in delivering Cost Estimates for the business. Working in a small team this job offers a varied role which may include site based and office-based duties.

Responsibilities include:

Pre-construction services to include but not limited to:

Help prepare initial feasibility estimate for appraisal purposes, including visiting site
Support the development of NRM Cost Plans as necessary during the design process
Investigate and collate pre-tender market feedback
Support tendering, contractual and insurance arrangements
Assist in the selection and the vetting of contractors and specialist sub-contractors and suppliers to be invited to submit tenders
Prepare tender documents and issue tender enquiries, and deal with tender queries
Support contractual requirements for the client liaising with legal team
Receive and analyse tenders and report upon tenders received.
Support the preparation of contract documents for execution

Construction Period Services to include but not limited to:

Liaise with Project Managers on future variations, requests and instructions
Prepare reports to the client monthly as to the actual and projected final cost of the Development
Review valuations and support the issue of monthly interim under the Building Contract
Produce cost estimates for proposed variations
Support the preparation and negotiate the settlement of the final account under the Building Contract
Support the agreement of loss and expense claims with contractorGeneral Services:

Attend all periodic and ad hoc pre-contract meetings, policy meetings, design team meetings, project meetings and similar meetings as required, taking notes and minutes when directed
Provide any assistance and information required by the Client
Assist senior members of the team on an ad-hoc basis

Other duties:

Undertake Reinstatement Cost Assessments
Undertake Cost Monitoring role, including site visits, report writing and attending meetings as required by clients

Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written)

Qualifications and Experience

Must possess the relevant degree of practical experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the commercial property market
Must be working towards obtaining MRICS chartered status, and possess good technical and market knowledge
Demonstrate good working knowledge of the JCT suite of contracts
Demonstrate good knowledge of the NRM regarding Cost Planning
Clean driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle

A 6 months+ opportunity for a Licensing Officer has arisen with the local authorities in Watford.

This role is a combination of a licensing and enforcement officer role. The successful candidate will need experience in both taxi's and other licencing functions. They will need excellent communication and organisation skills as well as good attention to detail.

They are currently recruiting for a Team Manager to be at the forefront of a team of Claims Advisors. This role will be pivotal in the direction and development of a specialised area of this global organisation.

What you'll be doing:

* To provide guidance and support to employees, enabling them to maximise their potential in meeting a variety of demands

* To act as a Subsidence champion and referral point across their team. To coach, inspire and develop the abilities of the team

* To deliver excellence against the key measures of reduced duration, cost control and customer satisfaction.

* To identify and proactively address employee issues, such as performance and day to day need to ensure highest levels of service delivery resulting in excellent customer satisfaction

* To identify and monitor employee development needs and to ensure the delivery of appropriate learning programmes with suitable methods; to build, interpersonal and technical competence

* To set the team plan, identify purpose and meaningful measures to assess individual and team contribution- use resources and reporting tools available. Also develop bespoke approach appropriate the individual and team needs

* To develop, manage and maintain relationships with internal and external parties to ensure customer demands are met fully

* To engage with clients, brokers and key stakeholders in order to maintain business and to attract new business opportunities

* To promote the Company ethics and values, focus on what matters to the customer and promote clients insurance brands

Can you say yes to the following?

* Extensive Knowledge of the claims management or insurance market would be ideal however those with experience of working within a regulated environment (e.g. Financial Services) will also be considered.

* Good understanding of Client SLA compliance/productivity/quality requirements and understanding of FSA procedures and TCF initiative

* Excellent people management skills in order to performance manage, motivate and lead the team

* Excellent analytical and decision making ability in order to analyse complex information correctly and make sound decisions to support business needs

* Excellent organisation skills to deliver high standards - time, cost, quality, efficiency and value

* Strong financial literacy skills to utilise financial reporting information and insurance performance measures in the management of claims.
