Job Description: Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for a large company with a site in Wigan. Our client provides sustainable recycled paper, corrugated cardboard and flexible packaging manufacturing solutions as well as solutions for waste management and the recovery of waste.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the site Quality and Product Safety agenda, ensuring the full deployment of the quality strategy and Product Safety, systems and processes to ensure product quality, safety and legality.

You will work closely with the sites Operations Director to ensure processes and activities have clear standards which are met rigorously and continue to be developed in line with best practice. You will help champion and deliver a quality and product safety improvement mindset, supporting CI activities across the whole site.

Specific Tasks/Accountabilities

* Manage the day to day activities relevant to Quality and Product Safety, coordinating activities required to meet Company, Plant, Stakeholder and regulatory quality standards.

* Ensure compliance with specific external and internal standards including BRC, ISO 9001.

* Manage and improve procedures, documentation & auditing of the management system. Work closely with operational and technical colleagues to ensure understanding and responsibilities.

* Understand the needs and expectations of our stakeholders regarding product safety, legality and quality, ensuring these expectations are a core part of the quality and product safety management system.

* Ensure the internal audit schedule is kept fully updated and all recommendations and NCR’s are relayed back to the relevant business areas, actioned and closed off and effective.

* Ensure the site is always at ‘Audit Ready’ status.

* Effectively investigate and process complaints, managing the process for any corrective and preventative action.

* Develop and maintain quality and food safety metrics and reporting for both internal and external purposes including complaints, internal NCR’s, in-house rejects, customer returns and cost of all errors and waste.

* Together with Line Managers, identify training needs to meet quality and food safety requirements and deliver or coordinate internal training where appropriate.

* Regularly communicate with Operations regarding quality and food safety issues, attending daily operations meetings to report any relevant issues.

* Represent the Quality Department within the Site Leadership Team, playing a full part in the delivery of the site strategy and budget.

* Help develop a culture of compliance and continuous improvement across the site.

* Continuously develop own knowledge on best practice, networking with colleagues throughout the organisation and by keeping abreast of industry and legislative developments.

Skills, Qualification & Attributes

* Fully qualified Internal Auditor (Preferably lead auditor)

* Competent user of MS Office, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook

Professional experience

* Extensive experience of developing and managing quality systems and audit processes with previous experience of BRC, ISO & food safety standards

* Previous experience in Print/packaging industry a distinct advantage

* Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives

* Strong knowledge of operational/production kpi’s

* Previous experience of line managing or supervising teams

* Considerable exposure to quality and food safety standards and practices within a production setting

* Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues verbally and in writing and understand technical, production terminology

Job Description: I am currently recruiting for an Electronics Engineer to work for a key client of mine based in the Wigan area.

This role is based in their head office, working within a busy, vibrant team.

My client designs and manufactures a diverse range of equipment for commercial, sport, military and offshore applications worldwide.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analogue

Switch Mode Power Supply (SMPS) design including thermal design for heat sinks and switching components. Appreciation of noise and EMI emissions
Operational amplifier design including low pass filter, high pass filter, voltage-frequency converter, strain gauge amplifiers
Linear power supply design including thermal design for heat sinks
Battery management for both rechargeable and non-rechargeable
Small signal analogue design with appreciation for noise reduction through PCB layout
Sensor interface for mechanical switch, magnetic switch, temperature, humidity and pressure
Power output driver design for analogue drive control including Class A, AB, and D architectures
Understanding of design for harsh environment, particularly for wide temperature operationDigital

Power drivers for resistive and inductive loads including thermal management
Design of long wire interfaces for remote communication
Design of high speed circuits including PCB track inductance and capacitance influences
Thermal management and design for minimum power use
Digital interfaces including RS232, SPI, I2C, one-wire and LVDS

Job Description: INTERNATIONAL SERVICE ENGINEER x2 | WIGAN

£33,000 - £38,000 + BONUS + OVERTIME + WORKING AWAY BONUS + ALL EXPENSES PAID + CAR + FLEXI-TIME + PENSION

Working on mechanical machinery across mainly Europe and the Middle East.
locations include, Spain, Austria, Italy, Turkey, Israel, Saudi and Egypt.
Given good autonomy and flexibility.
Previous experience working as a Service Engineer, dealing directly with customers.

Our client is an SME based in the Merseyside area who have been established for over 50 years and is are owned by a global engineering organisation. They are the most successful and profitable business in their group and have a lot of autonomy to grow their business as they see fit, with the wider group backing them where needed.

They design and manufacture mechanical machinery for the chemical and pharma industries. In terms of the culture, it is a very professional environment where they have an excellent reputation in the market. Although they are owned by a large corpoorate organisation, they still have a personal feel where every knows is on first name terms.

In terms of the job itself and what a typical project would look like, either an existing or new customer will send an enquiry through and you will be involved in the process from the early stages. Sales will generate an initial quotation, then you and an Applications Engineer will visit the customer site to understand and advise on what is needed. From here, you will act as the technical point of contact with the A.E, working on-site to either service or install the machines. On average you will be away for between 4 - 10 days max, and it is rare that you would be away for more than two weeks in a month. The ability to build relationships with the customers you work with is important.

To be right for this assignment you will need to have the following background:

Mechanically trained - HNC/HND minimum.
Experience servicing and maintaining machinery.
Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking directly with customers is essential.
Good report writing skills and proficient with Excel and Word.
Experience generating quotations or proposals would be beneficial.
