Deputise for department managers when required as point of escalation, team management, take responsibility for overall dept operational management in absence of Customer Service Manager to deliver against dept SLA's and operational performance
Be responsible for supporting Customer Service Manager for all day-to-day issues affecting members including investigation, resolution and management of responses and co-ordinating internal departments to resolve and deploy lessons learnt across dept

Description

In the role of Export and Logistics Manager you will have the following responsibilities:

Liaise with the Logistics Manager to resolve any order fulfilment delays as much as possible.
Work closely with the Regions to clearly communicate any significant delays then agree and initiate any subsequent action

Work closely with the Planning team to head off potential short supply situations and establish any mitigation actions

Take responsibility for minimising stock write-offs at 3PL warehouses

Manage the Export Sales Order acceptance process for Export customers

Maintain and publish an accurate live register of all Export orders, with detailed status and estimated despatch date information

Inform customers immediately of any significant delays then agree and initiate any subsequent action

Measure On Time and In Full (OTIF) vs. customer requested date and promised date

Perform root cause analysis of any customer service failures. Maintain a rolling corrective actions list and ensure they are completed in a timely manner

Oversee the smooth flow of inventory from Endeavour Way and external 3rd parties into CPG to meet customer order commitments on a timely basis

Oversee the returns process, ensuring that credits are raised if required and that returned stock is managed according to relevant SOP

Maintain accurate records of customer specific logistics requirements in the agreed template format, and proactively notify CPG of any changes

Profile

The ideal candidate will come from a similar role within the logistics or Freight Forwarding industry ideally in the FMCG secor. You will have a good working knowledge and experience of SAP as well as being forward thinking with strong numerical and analytical skills. Candidates will have experience working with relevant documentation including bills of lading, letters of credit and commodity codes. Candidates will be required to work independently as well as part of a team.
